I have NO idea where ANY good reviews are coming from in regard to this establishment...can't really even call it that. It should have been called "Hovel 6." Maybe they got the address wrong. ||||It was easily the absolutely WORST experience we've ever had staying away from home. To begin with, the neighborhood is totally dangerous and sketchy. Prostitutes and ne'er-do-wells litter the lot and surrounding businesses. You can smell the weed before you even pull onto the driveway. The office personnel were curt at best, and unapologetic after I voiced my concerns, They only cared that someone was paying to stay there. But we'll get back to them.||||Upon entering our room, the smell was a combination of smoke and musty socks. We had to leave the door open for some time to allow it to air out. In the meantime, various riff raff were running up and down the balcony, cursing, smoking and being generally abhorrent. We finally were able to close the door and try to settle in for the night around midnight, but even after getting past the mystery stains in the bathroom and low-pressure shower, there was plenty of noise and smoking continuing at this supposedly non-smoking motel. It got to the point where i had to call the police...the cigarette and marijuana smoke was so thick and permeating in our room, it was as if the person was sitting on the end of the bed. Calling the front desk was no help, as a "George" that answered was, as stated earlier, unapologetic, and advised I call the police. Nice job wrangling in problem guests, Motel 6. ||||The worse part was, when the Goodlettsville Police arrived, I heard the "officer" say outside my door to the perps "look, we've been getting calls about smoking weed, personally I don't give a s*. Just do it outside. Goodnight."||||NO KIDDING. I couldn't believe my ears. So obvilously, Goodlettsville is a place to avoid all around. You can't even depend on the so-called law. And of course, all of the unpleasantness continued until around 4 am, as there was no accountability. The hour of sleep I did get was no picnic, either, as the beds are rock hard, and the sheets have all of the comfort of a burlap sack.||||It was supposed to have been a 2-night stay. It was one. I went down the next morning and demanded a refund for the next night's stay, which I received, and we high-tailed it out and far away from that nightmare. ||||Take what I say with a grain of salt, but you WILL pay the price if you do. Literally. In THIS case, you DO get what you pay for. I know Motel 6 may be on the cheaper side regarding a budget, but what you don't save in money, you will save with peace of mind.||||DO NOT EVER, EVER stay here. You have been...
Read moreCame to Goodlettsville Motel 6 all the way from Bristol. Didn't think to ask when making reservations through Main switchboard whether the motel room had a fridge, it's been my experience that any room over $40/night has one. Upon check-in (after 6PM) I see a note attached to the front door of the office indicating that the ice machine is broken. I then asked at the front desk if there was a fridge in the room... "no, there isn't" No offer of discount or a suggestion where I might be able to get some ice.
My options at that time of night were limited, at best, not to mention it was dark, cold and raining and I was not at all familiar with the area. The two gallons of MILO's tea I had bought in Nashville spoiled due to lack of refrigeration as did my refrigeration-required medication AND a 14-oz. package of lunchmeat roast beef I had bought to make the only meal I would have had since leaving Bristol that morning. AND I was right beside the train tracks on which the freight train passed no less than 4 times that evening. Although I had scheduled to stay 4 nights, I told the front desk at 7am the next morning that I was not happy with the accommodations and would most likely be vacating if I was able to find another room anywhere but at that location. I also asked for a discount/refund based upon the extensive inconvenience issues. I was told that I would have to speak to the Manager who would not arrive until sometime later that day. I did find a room in Nashville. I called the 800-line for Motel 6 to cancel my room reservation for the following 3 days in Goodlettsville as well as days I had reserved in Memphis and subsequent days in Dallas, TX. I also lodged a complaint regarding the issues I had faced in Goodlettsville. I was told there would be no resolution without that location's Manager's approval. I DO NOT HAVE a cell phone currently and would have been charged who-knows-what by calling long distance to the Motel 6 in Goodlettsville to try and beg and negotiate for a discount. I decided my best option to save even more frustration was to just warn others about the poor conditions I had experienced and maybe save them from a disappointing stay. This has left a bad taste in my mouth with Motel 6 and can say without a doubt that Motel 6 as a chain is permanently...
Read moreI was going to give this place three stars. However I just could not after thinking about the experience. I stayed there about a week ago so I've had time to think it over. When we got there there was fecal stain and hair in the sheets. So I carried them down and got everything exchanged and remade my bed. And then we noticed the room was not warming up so I walked back down and asked the lady what to do and she handed me that space heater in my pic. I was told that it was a heat pump system and no one's heat in the building worked correctly. The room itself has basically no amenities. No microwave no fridge no alarm clock no coffee maker no hair dryer nothing. You get a TV and a bed. The other furniture has nowhere to put clothing it's just a small stand for the phone and a big stand for the television. There is a small closet area with coat hangers. We made it through the night it was cold but understandable it was maybe 11° outside. In the morning my girlfriend wandered down to the front and was getting me some coffee. While she was there a random middle-aged gentleman opened my door as I am sitting on the edge of the bed NAKED. He pulled the door shut six or eight inches and said "checking out?" To which I loudly said "close the door!" His response to that was to push the door fully open take a step inside and question me again. At this point I yelled at him he stepped back out pulled the door halfway shut and tried to speak to me so I started cursing him loudly. It seems that was sufficient and he left. When I asked the front desk about this and who this gentleman was I was told he must be housekeeping. Well this housekeeper was well dressed expensive Columbia Parka, jewelry on his hands very clean cut. When I then asked who the owner of the establishment was I was told by the clerk that he didn't know. So I went to look at the business cards to find that there is a business card there with the clerk's name on it. It seems he had been there long enough to warrant his own business cards for the establishment. How does someone that has worked there that long not know who the owner is. This leads me to believe that it was the owner himself that walked in on me and refused to leave. As it is I do not care how far I have to drive I will never stay in Goodlettsville...
