Update: 08/17/2024. It looks like I have a 4000 character limitation here. My review was over 9,000 characters, so MANY guest accounts have been removed. Update: 08/12/2024. BEDBUGS. We had to discard a $2500 sofa sectional into the front yard at 3 am upon realizing it was infested with bedbugs. Why the sofa? Why not anywhere else? Because when we returned from our trip to Tennessee, we placed the luggage on the sofa. We emptied that luggage into the washing machine before putting the BRAND NEW luggage in storage. My wife was hanging out on the chase playing games on her phone, in the dark, waiting to get tired and I went ahead and went to bed. Around 3 am, she turned the light on on her phone to find her glasses she had dropped and was startled by something moving in the back of the couch. Upon pulling back the Velcro backing, we revealed an absolute infestation. We would have had no idea how this could have happened if the professional we called had not asked, “Have you been out of town lately? Yes? Can I see the luggage you carried with you?” and then determined from larva sacks within the wheels that THIS was ground zero. We have not received any communication from Wyndham Corporate, nor from the management or ownership of this La Quinta, so we are planning to file reports with the Better Business Bureau and elsewhere. You should be able to view the results of this report at https://shorturl.at/hh97R. Wyndham (La Quinta? Whomever.) made a business-crippling decision in regards to promoting Ms. Patty H to GM. I offer my observation that has determined that this individual has either no managerial education, or just chose to ignore those lessons. I offer this insight because I DO have a CPRM and an ITIL as well as extensive reading in the art of management. I am pretty sure that “If your group has any more complaints about the cleanliness or anything else, they should go ahead and check out and stay somewhere else” is nowhere at all in any of the management manuals. We were basically told to deal with the issues quietly, or get out and go somewhere else. Last year, in 09/2023, we began planning our corporate convention at this hotel. The arrangements were that we had a room block of 20 rooms that had to be booked and with that we got 2 conference rooms at no charge. 37 guests booked rooms at the hotel, fulfilling all requirements. When the hotel changed management, they agreed to honor our initial arrangement. However, during a remodel, the smaller conference room was converted into a laundry room. To make up for the lost space, the new management provided us with room to use for our convention. On 07/25, 2024, we headed to the hotel. Upon our 7:00 AM arrival, the staff on duty at that time were unaware of any arrangements, so we had to wait for a couple of hours for the "manager" to arrive and handle the weekend and our consultant who helped with the convention process with the hotel. The first consultant to arrive at the hotel and acquire her room on Wednesday, July 24th, found no toilet seat attached to the toilet. Upon arriving at her second room, she found mold surrounding the tub and unknown objects in the seams of the ceiling. Disgusted with her third room, she ended up going to a store, purchasing cleaning supplies, and spending a couple of hours cleaning it herself. Subsequently, upon setting up the conference room for our event, we found tablecloths, which were intended for the convention room, covered with yellow stains. We were left with no choice but to use them, as we couldn't find any clean tablecloths. (Pictures attached) Next issue. So gross. The pull-out couch mattress looks like maybe a dog pee’d on it? Smelled like that anyway. At this point, we did not even go to a representative. Instead, we checked pull-out couch mattresses in other rooms and finally found one that looked new (still in plastic). We moved this mattress to the needed room and returned it to the room it was taken from just...
Read moreUPDATE: I was finally contacted by the GM at about 9pm this evening. He said the security camera in the breakfast area was not operational. What a coincidence! He said I would be welcome to file a police report but not sure anything would come of it because there was no video proof. So basically it was a screw you and I don't care. Again....do yourself a favor and book another hotel. This one is not concerned about safety or maintaining the property. Just Awful!!!! I wish there was a way to give zero stars because that is exactly what this place deserves!
I am highly dissatisfied with this hotel!!! My wife went down for breakfast this morning (12/10) with my youngest daughter and set her cell phone on the table and then got up to assist my daughter with her breakfast. When she returned back to the table (about 3 minutes later) she noticed her cell phone was missing. She thought that someone may have thought it was left and went back to the front desk to see if someone turned it in and no one had done so. At this point she realized the phone along with her credit cards attached to the phone was stolen. She went back up to the front desk several times and the staff seemed more interested in the conversation they were having about the previous night. Finally, my wife was stern with them, and they seemed to understand it was an urgent matter. My wife went back up to the room and alerted me about what had happened. I called down to the front desk and spoke with them and mentioned contacting the police. I was told not to do so, and they would look. About two minutes later, I received a call that the phone had been found in the trash by someone. We went downstairs to retrieve the phone only to find out that the compartment the credit cards were in had been breached and some of the cards were stolen. We asked if the cameras could be looked at to see who stole the phone. At first, we were told that there was no camera in the room. We then pointed the camera out and then were told the only person with access was the GM who had worked third shift and was not answering his phone. We were told when we checked out that the GM would call us and that he was on his way in. At 1:30pm we called back, and the GM had not showed up. We called again around 3:30. Still no GM. Finally, we called around 5:30 and still no GM. I would like to know why there is no one available with access to the footage. If an assault or murder would have taken place what would the protocol be? A crime was committed against my wife's property, and no one seems the least bit concerned about figuring out who committed the crime! This is the sorriest excuse for management I have ever experienced. Their excuse was short staffing. I understand that no one wants to work these days but if a crime is committed at my establishment I get my tail up to the business, regardless of my sleepiness, to figure out how I can be of service and take care of...
Read moreI will never go to another LaQuinta Inn, ever again. My daughter and I came in town for the Chiefs/Titans and arrived around 6:30pm, on Friday October 22nd. When we checked in there was a note posted that their wi-fi was down for an undetermined amount of time. My daughter had her Mac book with her and needed the Wi-Fi for a college course. Agent said, "You're welcome to cancel and go to another hotel." My reply, "This is last minute, we're not familiar with Nashville and the likelihood of finding a room at a reasonable rate is highly unlikely." So, we were stuck. The hallway leading to our room on the 2nd floor smelled like mildew. When I arrived in our room, I was shocked to see the sink separated from the rest of the bathroom. Tub and toilet are private, but sink is not private. That night my daughter wanted to wash her hair and after showering she asked if I was happy with the room. Advised, that I wasn't and next time I will book at another hotel. I couldn't remember the last place, I booked prior to covid-19. I check email confirmation from Doubletree. This is when we stayed in Westlake Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland. That was a pleasant experience. It was a suite with the two beds separated from the living area and a full private bath. It was also cheaper than what I reserved at LaQuinta. So that's move on with the issues. My daughter said while showing she noticed the drain in the tub was extremely slow and the sink's vanity had not been cleaned. She said it was a yellowish film. I did go to the front desk to mention this to a nice lady named, Parra. I also asked about canceling a portion of my stay, but I decided not to because it's the weekend and we had ordered an Uber for Sunday morning. So, two days later another issue occurred, the toilet flushing with the water almost flowing to the very top of the rim. She said, she would contact maintenance about that. The following day we went out sightseeing and came back and our room never touched by the cleaning staff. I had to go back down to the front desk again and request new towels. I have never been in a hotel/motel/Inn with so many issues I will never book for LaQuinta Inn. I should have taken heed of what a former LaQuinta Inn employee (not this hotel) said about this hotel chain. He said don't book because of poor cleaning tactics and you get what you Pay for. I paid almost $600. $464.40 plus $94.76 in taxes. It's not worth it. The...
