I just made my last visit to this business. They are overpriced, seemingly exploitative, they lack etiquette, they are rude, and the quality of service is hit or miss. I have been spending a lot of money at this place and although I have not always been happy, I kept going for proximity. The girl that did my pedicure rushed it and she did a poor job. Then they overcharged me and did not disclose it upfront. Some ladies complained about the same issue. When I realized the bill was excessive and I raised concern, a lady who by the way did not serve me this time, rudely told me I can afford it and she called out my position at work. I was very offended and I asked what my position had to do with the cost of service? She was quiet. If they ever ask you what you do for a living, respectfully decline to respond. I recall that when I visited for the first time, the lady that worked on my nails (don't recall if it's this same lady, but evidently she remembers my profession) asked where I work, what I do AND my position. I thought it was intrusive but I did not want to be rude. But there have since been red flags that I ignored until now. On one occasion, I tipped 15% on the entire bill of manicure and pedicure, and the guy who rang it and who did the manicure, asked sneakily if I want to leave a tip for the person that did the pedicure. As if 15% was not sufficient. They also have a habit of stopping by when their peer is working with a client and chatting in vernacular for an extended period of time and customer has no idea what they are saying to each other. This business will continue to loss clients if they don't take corrective actions. The gentleman that did my nails did a great job, though. Better than anyone before him....
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would, this was the worst experience I’ve had in over 40 years of regular pedicures. I asked for the basic pedicure and did make an assumption, based on hundreds of previous pedicures at any number of salons, that it would include my nails cut, heals and foot pads smoothed, a little soak, lotion and polish. When the person concluded I looked at my heals and they hadn’t been touched, so I asked for them to be done. Very quickly the manager came over and shushed and shooed the gentleman doing my nails off and promptly told me I did not pay for my heals to be included so no heals for me. I was so taken back as I’ve NEVER had the most basic of pedicures where this wasn’t included. Now it was written in their menu their basic, $30, pedicure only includes nails clipped and polished and if you want anything more it’s a minimum of $50 but the real problem was the disgust and disdain this manager treated me with that took poor customer service to a whole new level. I felt swindled at best and there are not words appropriate to type for the worst. Although they did not legally do anything wrong, ETHICALLY and FUNCTIONALLY they treated me and my business like they left my heals….DIRTY, ROUGH and DISGUSTING. Do not waste your time or money here, go ANYWHERE else as the manager of this salon cares only about himself and his...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. I don’t usually give negative reviews and do the just the opposite, and I like to give good reviews.
This place is dirty and the service is horrible. They rush and don’t care about the actual quality of their services. Churn and burn. When getting a pedicure I asked to get rid of the extra skin between my nail or the nail bed, and I was told snippily that “I’m not a doctor, go to the doctor!” Are you kidding me? Any reputable nail salon cleans the skin around the nail bed as part of the service, otherwise what is a pedicure - just a nail polish? The nail technician (if you can even call her that) didn’t treat cuticles and literally spent no time cleaning the nail.
I even brought my own nail polish and they didn’t return it to me. I returned a few days later to ask for it back and they had put it back for all the customers to use. Then had the audacity to claim they didn’t know it was mine but I could have it back after they had been using it on other customers.
Stay away. So far it’s been challenging to find a decent nail salon in Goodyear. I guess I was spoiled by my last nail place who actually cared about the...
