if you don't have food available, it should not be offered online. Doesn't take much to have biscuits and gravy in-house, especially when you are next to a grocery store. But it's a huge inconvenience to order and drive all the way up on Sunday (late morning) when you aren't feeling great to be told you don't have it. Was told I was called... but definitely didn't have a message. Such a bummer... I love supporting local, but will not come again. There are other restaurants nearby who go out of their way to provide incredible service and want customers to come back. This community needs more great businesses like Cafe Bebida and Sip. As someone who was in the restaurant industry and hospitality for years... this is definitely not how you do business if you want your business to succeed. I had to call back when I saw they only refunded me the cost of the food and not the tip... the guy told me that's all they are able to do on their end. (Guess I will have to call my credit card company instead). His excuse for not leaving a message earlier was they were "too busy" to leave a message. There were 3 people in the whole place when I arrived - and you are in hospitality. Are you serious?! I asked to have the owner call me... when she called back I was told she already heard the story from her workers, but wanted to hear what I had to say. Her excuse was she only has 5-6 biscuits available on a Sunday, has high schoolers working for her - and that if I'm upset for this one instance, that she doesn't want me in her restaurant anyway. (When you're not feeling well and drive all the way up... would you not be upset? And then to be told that someone is too busy to leave a vm? Or, not getting all your money back?). That is not how you treat customers or do business! And don't worry - I won't be back! I'll make sure others are aware of how Oasis runs their business and I'll continue to support the other incredible restaurants in the area that care about their customers. Food gets someone in the door, but it's about the full experience that continues bringing them back. The cost of going out is expensive, and I don't need to be treated that way... I'll support businesses that care about how they do business. You will single-handedly ruin your own business running things like this anyway. There's a reason why certain restaurants do not last...
Read moreLocated in a plaza there is plenty of parking. You can bring a caravan of vehicles and have no issue with parking. Inside there are a few tables as well as outdoor seating. Everything is well lit, clean, and organized. All employees were wearing masks and gloves the whole time.
Now for what you really want to read about, the food. On this visit I went a little overboard and had a Bagel breakfast sandwich (The Oasis Classic) on an everything bagel. It comes with not one but two eggs! And your choice of meat. I went with the Taylor Ham. The ham was just salty enough and had the slightest crisp, delicious. Eggs were perfect and the Bagel, OMG, I cannot tell you enough how amazing the bagels are here. I have honestly never had a bagel made to perfection like this.
I also had the Crumb Cake, let me just say it was so good, I ordered a second one to take home with me.
I also had a bagel dog which I warmed up later in the day for lunch. Made with an all beef dog wrapped in their spectacular bagel dough. I could eat this everyday.
I also ordered a plan bagel and an egg bagel just to see if the breakfast sandwich was a fluke. Let me just say you cannot come here to just eat a bagel from Bagel Oasis, you come here to experience a bagel. They are baked fresh daily and come out so soft on the inside with a perfect thin crust.
Do yourself a favor and visit, then repeat and visit often. Follow your heart and go ahead and bring home some of their fresh made bagel chips just as I did while...
Read moreUsing this review as a way to give some constructive feedback to the new owner. I love this place and want it to succeed. Having said that, please enact some sort of QC. The last three times weâve gone there weâve ordered breakfast sandwiches (well done/double toasted). I am not exaggerating when I say the bagels were barely luke warm, let alone double toasted. A raw bagel is completely unappetizing. I wouldnât wish that for somebody stranded on a desert island. Also please double check the receipt when youâre making multiple breakfast sandwiches (like in my wife and Iâs case). We have yet to get our sandwiches made correctly and at this point we joke about the new combinations that will greet us when we get home. Putting the wrong meat with the wrong cheese, wrong cream cheese with the wrong bagel (or most times no cream cheese at all). There has to be better QC or youâre going to lose customers to Starbucks and that will be such a loss for this community. We need more ma and pa places like Oasis. Please please please just take this feedback as constructive and not at as a dig at the new management.
Edit: wait I realized today after getting a bagel what the issue with the toasting is.. their new toaster only toasts one side of the bagel. I donât know what happened to the old conveyer belt toaster but it used to toast both sides so you wouldnât get a...
