Polly’s Promises are a lie! I got my engagement ring here amazing, beautiful! Well now that me and my S/O are going to get married we were thinking of upgrading my ring since I had a 1/2 Ct diamond and we wanted around a 2 Ct. First visit just came to see what kind of rings were my style, was shown this beautiful 2 Ct oval ring(lab grown), fell in love! Got told that since I wouldn’t really be able to upgrade the stone in my ring that I should just trade it in! Perfect! Came for the Second visit so I could make sure that it was truly the ring I wanted, I still loved it, well when I asked about the trade in two lady’s asked if my engagement ring was natural or lab, I truly didn’t know so I just said lab. They told me I’m only allowed to trade in a Natural ring. Okay cool. They proceeded to not help me for almost 20 minutes while me and my friend were the only customers in the store. Finally came back a third time after discovering my ring was in fact natural ask about a trade in for the ring I loved got shut down, Now i can’t trade in a natural for a lab. Ridiculous! So we asked how much it would be for a natural in that style and the associate would say the price and try and make like remarks that make it seem like she thought we couldn’t afford it. My husband and I moved to Charleston a little over 2 years ago from Connecticut. Finding a jeweler has been a struggle here but we have finally found our spot at Polly’s! After purchasing my engagement and wedding rings in the diamond district in NYC we would stop by anytime we were in the city for a cleaning and to say hi. I even brought my mom back to meet Richard as she has lived here for almost 2 years with a struggle to find a jeweler as well. They made us feel so special. Highly recommend Polly’s!!!! My fiancé and I went to pick out our wedding bands at this location. It was very nice and we were greeted instantly. Not only did we BOTH find a ring in 30 min (I’m super picky) we came in WAYYY under budget. I was very worried I wouldn’t be able to find a matching ring for my very dainty band on my engagement ring and was able to find the perfect match. My fiancé got his band the following week and they called me first thing Monday morning letting me know it was ordered and an estimation of how many weeks it would take since they could not order mine over the weekend due to the company it was with. They were communicated with me very well and after the ring came in, it was still a little too big and the resized it for me with no issues.
