The food was delicious! The service was atrocious. When we arrived it was seat yourself and as we had a group of 6 we sat at the only open table that would accommodate (they had 2 8-tops). The host and a server both brought over menus after which is where service seemed to grind to a halt. When menus were delivered no drink order was taken. It was a long while later before the server returned. The sweet tea tasted very watered down and so the kids wanted to exchange, it took a while from drink delivery to see the server again and put in that request. It did surprise us that our kids meal order came out all on its own ahead of every thing else (surprised in a good way, he's a very slow eater and we usually request this but forgot this time). Shortly before the food arrived it seemed the bartender and someone else started helping on the floor, still drinks were left empty until specifically requested to be refilled. The food arrived hot and pretty much as pictured or described. I ordered the carolina cuban but split it with my daughter who ordered the chicken pesto so I got to try both. The cuban was excellent, the pesto I felt was overly seasoned and could have used some sort of mayo based sauce to eliminate some of the dryness, but my daughter thought it was perfect. We ordered the two desserts, and it took FOREVER to arrive. The cheesecake was alright and well worth the price. The molten lava cake is described as comes with caramel sauce, but we had to request that. It arrived dry and pretty underwhelming even after an abundance of caramel sauce was added. The only other noteworthy item is that several TVs were out, and requests to have a particular channel on a particular TV were rebuffed due to some technical issues that seemed to prevent it. They had the same channel on the two biggest TVs side by side which I had tried to get that channel on a tv in my line of sight. We plan to go again in the future, hopefully service will have improved by then, but there were many items on the menu we would like to try.
Edit for response: We were in the day before I posted the review for dinner in the early evening or late afternoon. Not 100% on...
Read moreOverall experience was ok. Not great or amazing. Let's start with the beginning, party of 5+ high chair. Got sat and waited 8 minutes for high chair that I eventually went to grab (hostess had 2 parties behind me so kind of understandable). Waited 12-15 minutes to get greeted by server that I had not seen on the floor at all, he informed us he was covering the entire downstairs (thankfully for them it was kinda busy, still didn't see him out front thoughout those 12-15 minutes). After he greeted us we ordered drinks and food all at same time 3 "wranglers " and I got the "prime dip" prime dip was really good, not a single wrangler had crispy onions on it (maybe they were out) and unfortunately all wranglers were very dry. Support from the top side and/or bar finally came out and checked on us regularly throughout the meal which was much needed. However, come time to pay the downstairs calmed down (not busy) and im assuming he was on his own again. We tried numerous times to get his attention to pay. I have a 10 month old getting fussy and didn't wanna kill the mood of the atmosphere, so was trying to pay before she got to loud. After taking the order of the table directly next to us, I again raised my hand and called for him as he walked away (baby screaming). I walked to the bar, card in hand and asked if I could pay, he said "sure, right after I put this order in", I politely said no, I've tried numerous attempts to make contact and pay you before taking that tables order. He obliged and took the 10 seconds to swipe my card.
The other good thing I can compliment this place on, is the military discount.
I still wanna try this one more time, that's if I can talk the boss (wife) into it but it will...
Read moreI leave this review, giving them some grace knowing they're just starting this location.
The inside of the restaurant felt like it was 300°, and everyone around you could see wiping their faces. Drinks came pretty quickly, but then it took us half an hour to have someone touch our table after that, asking for apps orders, and we actually had to go talk to the hostess to even get that. It's just strange because there seemed to be a lot of staff just standing around behind the bar, Who probably could've been helping.
After we finally got service, our server made up for it and she was great. I can't remember her name, but she was funny and did an outstanding job. Pretty much all six of us had cold food, mine was the buffalo chicken wrap which was decent, but nothing to write home about. It was pretty dry with not a lot of buffalo sauce. I was a bit surprised that my side of beans was so credibly tiny. That really should be changed, A larger cup of beans probably costs about $.40. We didn't complain about the food coldness because as I said above, they are still going through growing pains. The beers were good, nice and cold, you could tell the lines were clean.
So all in all, some good, some bad, but we're going to give it another try in probably three months when the bugs have been worked out.
Just a sidenote, even if you think somebody's review post is idiotic, it's probably not a good business model to insult them. People will get turned off and not visit just because of that. I can see that from above. Just take the compliments and criticisms altogether, and go from there. Just one...
