I used to come here all the time when I was living here, just before the pandemic and up until 2 1/2 years ago. My parents and I ordered EBD at least 3 times a week. We just moved back and this is definitely not the same EBD.

My parents got a gyro with fries and a turkey sandwich with chips. They used to get that exact order every week. My dad literally lived off your gyros for 6 months straight once. Both sandwiches had little to no meat, my dad got maybe 10 fries that weren't cooked all the way, and my mom's sandwich was on stale bread. Everything was cold. My meal was worse. It wasn't even what I ordered so it went in the trash.

My parents ended up tossing their orders out as well. We were so excited to come back and get what used to be amazing food worth every penny, but you guys have seriously gone down hill. Combined, the sandwiches had less than 3 oz of meat between them. I've read some of the other reviews on here where you tell people that the sandwiches are supposed to have about 5 oz of meat each. There wasn't even 5 oz of meat between them. I don't know what you guys have going on at this location, but I think if you actually care about your franchise, you might want to clean house. The staff was extremely unprofessional and the food is borderline illness waiting to happen. Literally. My dad was given frozen french fries. I understand that getting help is hard, but you're better off just closing down a location instead of destroying your brand.

Can't even begin to explain how disappointed we were by this experience. We spent the last 2 years craving EBD and now I'll be lucky if I can even get my parents to go back to a different location. Did you guys sell to somebody else? Is that what this is? Are there new owners or something? This is absolutely not the same food that we lived on for...

Assistant GM manager, Melissa needs Some training on customer service skills. I had an encounter with her on tonight, and she was not approachable, had an Attitude and acted like she didn’t want to be of service. She even was talking to the employees in an unpleasant tone, trying to correct them on the situation. As I was leaving, I even told her thank you she did not reply just had the sour face on the whole time. I then turned around and asked one of the employees what was her name they responded and she turned around and said Melissa the Asst GM have a good night ma’am in a sarcastic manner. East Bay deli is known for good customer service and great food I am a regular customer at the North Charleston location and they do an outstanding job. This was my 2nd Encounter at this location the first time was pleasing and the second time not so pleasing sad to say it was actually someone off the leadership team that was the problem. I’m sure customer service is the first thing that they teach everyone especially the managers. Having the title doesn’t give you the right to do what you want. Put a smile on your face and play the part that you know you were hired to do. Remember, there’s no I in team. Also in case you forgot without the customers you would not have a job and without the employees, you would have no team. I’m sure corporate, or the higher ups will not be pleased with your action on tonight. So please gather yourself(MEL)and act...

We placed a phone order with East Bay Deli on Thursday evening around 7:30 p.m. — two sandwiches and a kids meal. We were told it would be ready in 10 minutes. After waiting for 30 minutes and observing several high school-aged employees chatting behind the counter instead of assisting customers, my husband finally gave up and left without the food.

I called the restaurant to follow up and began to explain that my husband hadn’t received our order. Before I could finish my sentence, the woman on the phone interrupted and said, ā€œYes, he walked out as we were bagging it.ā€ I tried to respond, but she cut me off again with, ā€œWould you like me to refund your credit card?ā€ I said yes, and she replied, ā€œSure,ā€ and then abruptly hung up.

Shocked by the rudeness and lack of basic courtesy, I called back. When I asked if she had just hung up on me, she admitted she had, saying, ā€œYeah, I said sure before hanging up.ā€ I asked for her name and if a manager was available. She told me her name was Hillary and that she was the night manager. When I asked who else managed the store, she said, ā€œBrad and myself,ā€ and mentioned she would leave him a note letting him know I would be contacting him with a complaint.

I have never encountered such an apathetic and dismissive attitude from someone in a customer service role. It was truly appalling. Needless to say, we won’t be ordering from East...

Delicious Food and Friendly Service! We stopped in at this East Bay Deli location and were impressed. The facility was spotlessly clean, and the staff greeted us with warm, efficient service that made us feel right at home. I ordered the Crinkle Cut French Fries with Deli Seasoning—they were delicious! Perfectly seasoned, crispy, and the portion was way more generous than I expected. Everyone else in our group had sandwiches and gave them rave reviews. It’s rare to find a place that nails the details so well—from quality food to great hospitality. We’ll be back next time we’re in town!

I don’t know what the holdup was, but there was no one in line ahead of me and I ordered a half salad to go. The staff was running around squealing and having multiple conversations. It seemed as though no one was actually doing anything regarding customer service and they were all unprofessional looking and behaving. I sat for 32 minutes waiting for my salad only to be disappointed with what I paid $10 for. I will not return to this location

I stopped in for lunch 8.13.24 at 13:25. The restaurant was full, with no availability of tables inside, but they did offer outdoor seating. I ordered the Authentic Italian sub with chips and a fountain drink. (According to the sign outside, kids eat free on Tuesday nights) They offer a salad bar (due to COVID) no longer self-serve and a great cake counter. I found it odd that they charge for eating utensils in a restaurant (see phot).
