Update for September 2024: Still overcharging at the register from the price listed on the racks. Hoisin sauce 20 oz. marked as $3.88 on the rack and charged as $4.29 at the register. Everything except one item on the receipt was upcharged. So much for the excuse of updating prices and still continuing to scam customers with increasing prices at the register! So dishonest!

There is always a price discrepancy in this store from at the old location and now even the new location. Look at the other reviews regarding complaints about prices. That’s just really bad business practices. I’ve brought it up and their excuse is that their prices change all the time. This new location just opened. Most people probably don’t pay attention to this so they just get away with it. Some of my items were higher at the register than marked in the aisles. I’ve even been charged more than the stickered price right on the item. This one item was $1 more than advertised on the aisle sticker.
Go to H&L instead. They don’t fake or be misleading on their prices. Their prices are also a lot cheaper.
The price discrepancy was seen just yesterday so that would be amazing if you’ve updated all your prices already after all these bad reviews from even the old place. I did look at the price AND description listed on the aisle vs. the package and still was charged more. If you stayed behind your price tag and were honest, you would not continuously get...
Read moreToday is beautiful, so we decided to hit the local Asian markets for some treats. This place is the best in the area and has only gotten better since our last visit. Spacious, clean, and fresh-smelling, they boast a huge variety of chilled coffees, teas, and fruit juices as well as gorgeous fresh mushrooms and herbs, fish and seafood on ice that were shiny-eyed and looking great. I saw a lady come out of the bakery area with something looking sandwichy rolled in paper and watched her put them in the fresh food cooler at the front. With no signage, only some rolls marked B and some not marked, I asked the checkout guy what they were and if B meant beef and he said, "They're like sandwiches. B is barbecue." It hit me: "Oh! Like banh mi?" He smiled and said yes. I grabbed one of each kind to try and he said, "You can get a bag of vegetables for each one." The carrots, onions, green peppers, and cilantro were nicely sliced in little sandwich bags to keep them crisp! We ate the barbecue one first, and it was spectacular! The bread was so soft and perfectly toothy, the meat tender and flavorful. This is my place for banh mi...
Read moreWow! this is a GREAT new location!!! The previous store was small and really focused on essentials. This store really has everything. They have a large produce section with fresh daikon, brean sprouts, bok choy, ginger... and so much more! Really everything that I can't find at the grocery store or the other large Asian style market. I was able to get everything on my list, even the Aloha brand!! Tons of Japanese, Thai, and Chinese products, even a few Korean ones. I wasn't able to get Korean kimchi, but they did have Japanese kimchi. Also, they had a few frozen products I haven't seen in SC shops before that I know and love. Their frozen and refrigerated prepackaged food section is smaller, but all the other sections seem to be much larger than expected with great variety: snacks, beverages, ramen, noodles, produce, sauces, dried ingredients, frozen meats, fresh whole fish. I thought prices were good for SC. You really can't compare to other chains in other regions because the supply chain to get to SC has so many more obstacles and costs for these...
