Most Impressive! You can't judge the store from it's store front. As soon as you walk thru the door it's as if you walked into "SHOE WORLD" THOUSANDS of shoes EVERYTHING you could imagine it's like going to the mall but all in one store, you don't have to go to store after store. Brands i grew up with, treatment like when i was a kid when my mom took me to a real shoe store, where they actually take time, find out your needs, and measure your feet. What caught my ear was in their radio ad they mentioned about how people have had sever hip, back, feet pain, i'm telling you the factual truth after(poor Tim i had him running ragged)trying on like a dozen different pair of work and everyday shoes i ended up buying the most expensive pair of shoes in my life, not the most expensive shoes there, you want to know why? Because they WORK, i knew from the time i 1st put them on, They work! In 2 days i can walk without my tens unit. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. Ask Tim what brand and style i bought. Every shoe is made for a different fit and feel. I know you will find a pair you ask tim i tried on so many shoes i forgot which one it was in which i made the comment one of those stopped my pain and we tried them all on again and for sure i knew it immediately the ones i put on i walked out wearing. Yes i paid for them before i left lol i even bought a pair of inserts for my work shoes. Don't waste your hard earned money on dr schols or however you spell the name i took mine back to the store here in mich because after 4 days they hurt my feet worse than when i didn't have inserts. Just goes to show you there is a shoe for every foot, who would have known a simple correct fitting support shoe would take my pain away. And guess what i didn't have to take any pills or pay a doctor or have surgery. THANK YOU! VERY SINCERELY...
Read moreTo the three saleswomen working today who felt the need to make rude comments about my choice of wearing a pair of cheap, comfy shoes in on a Saturday afternoon to shop for a pair of sandals. I let the first comment roll off, it felt an equal part of sells pitch vs condescending: ”once you wear these (brand name in store) you will never wear those (insert brand of my comfy cheap shoes) again”.
I was planning to come back to buy the sandals next week..that is until the saleswomen all stopped what they were doing to sat down side by side to watch us walk by. As we did, one employee said out loud the brand name of my comfy shoes and followed it up by making a loud sound of disgust.
In the future, I hope these employees just stick to the rudeness of running the vacuum while there are customers in the store instead of sitting down like a bunch of mean girls in middle school in an attempt to feel superior to their customers. At least while the vacuum is running, there is a chance that shoppers may not have to hear how judgmental these ladies are towards the very people whose purchases have contributed to their paychecks over the years.
And If you want to practice that sound of disgust again…I suggest you do so while looking in a mirror and reflecting on your behavior today. Words matter. Kindness matters....
Read moreMove over, REI, Woldruff's wins.
I'm a huge outdoor enthusiast, so finding a good pair of hiking shoes is important. To be clear, Woldruff's may not have the variety of a large-scale store like REI, but they curate their collection with care. Merrell, Keens, Reiker, and Earth are some of the top-notch brands you'll find here. If they don't have a shoe from that a brand in stock, it's pretty much assured they'll special-order it for you (after sizing you in a similar shoe first).
Customer service-wise, this place is phenomenal. Even during periods with high foot traffic (
