Galaxy Lanes — Local services in Grand Blanc Charter Township

Awful! We met some friends there over the weekend and they were driving quite a ways to meet with us. I called a couple of hours before we were to meet to make sure it was open bowling and the lady said it was open bowl all day that there wasn't any leagues that day. So when we arrive the lady at the counter said the longest time we could do was an hour because there was a league soon and she was very rude about it. Our lane was right next the food area and before we even set up our computer to bowl I ordered pizza and pop and paid for it and the guy pointed at our table and said that's where you are right and I said yes and he said he would bring it right out once it done. We were more then half way through the game and still no food or drinks so I went to ask how much longer and the same guy I ordered with said they didn't have any orders and he remembered the conversation with me but he had no orders. He asked if I wanted him to start making one and I said yes I've already paid for it so we kept checking on it and they finally brought it out during the last round! The prices are reasonable but the employees are rude and the food is bad if they actually make your order. I will not be...

I bumped it up to 3 stars because we were still able to have fun. The bowling went off without a hitch but the service was just sad. For the cost of a birthday party they did not care at all. First the memorable personalized bowling pin had my daughters name (Kathryn) spelled KAtHLYL, when this was brought to their attention they were unapologetic and did not even offer to remedy the issue, which should have been pretty easy to do. Almost an hour after we put in our order for pizza we went to check oh it to find out that they had forgotten to put it in. We finally recieved our pizza a half hour before we were to be kicked out for league bowling. They made further money off of our huge group because people were so hungry they purchased food. They didn't even offer to comp us at least something to hold guests over. At least we received an apology for that mistake but that is all we got. Over all because of the group we were with we all still had a ton of fun but I definitely now know they will not take care of you when they make mistakes big or small, no matter how easy it could be to remedy them. Unfortunately this was not a great experience at all. Trying to take my children to do something fun as someone who also works in the service industry and deals with the public often, I couldnt say better things about the service from one of the servers, Sidney tonight. If she ever wants a job, tell her to look me up. The bartenders and the young gentlemen at the counter (not the young lady who seemed to have been training, she was delightful) were extremely unimpressive. Upon entering the establishment we're asked how long we wanted to bowl (it was about 9:45) we said until close. We were given 120 minutes which was what the young man told the young lady to put in. We began bowling and as we were in our 7th frame we had about 5 minutes left and 7 people. We requested to just be able to finish our game and we're 100% willing to pay for whatever that would be. That was at about 11:47 when they closed at midnight. My main issue is not being given what we asked for from the start and then being denied upon asking to finish 3 frames.
