If I could give 0 stars I would have. We come to this location at least once a week and mind you it's never stellar service but today was beyond me. We did not get any type of greeting when we walked in and when the guy finally came up to the front from behind the wall he didn't even say hello. When we started telling him our order it was clear that he was very new, he actually looked terrified, which is fine no big deal, but it was clear that he should have had someone there with him to help him because he couldn't even find what we were ordering let alone any of the few substitutions that we wanted. Once we got our order it was all wrong. My husband ordered a wrap with no pineapple sub onion and it was loaded with pineapple and didn't have any onion. My flatbread was made with the wrong sauce. But the cherry on top was when I received my peanut butter cup smoothie with no peanut butter that was what I ordered because it seemed like the easiest way to tell him what I wanted, what was just a chocolate banana smoothie, rocket science, I know. When they handed it to me it was clear that he took out the chocolate instead of the PB. When I took it back to the window the blonde girl that came up to me argued with me that it was suppose to be a kids smoothie, which was incorrect, we had already received my daughters chocolate banana smoothie, and her final response to me was "whatever, I'll remake it" with more attitude than I even allow my own children to talk to me with. There obviously needs to be an adult in the building to make sure that these children can correctly perform their duties as well as control their attitudes. Good luck to this establishment if it keeps going in...
Read moreTwo days ago I went to this Tropical Smoothie location at 8:50pm with there close time being 9pm. When I walked in there were two guests in front of me who had JUST ordered. Like I literally came in ONE minute after them. The teenager who was working asked me if I was there to pick up an order. I said “no, I’m here to place an order” and she said “we’re not taking any more orders, they were my last customers. We’re about to close.”
Yeah, ABOUT to. Meaning you’re NOT closed. The open sign was on and you just took the order of the people ahead of me but you won’t serve me? It was TEN whole minutes before they closed. I might understand if it was like two minutes before close but like I said, it was a teenager on duty and she obviously just wanted to go home right at close.
If you wanted to stop serving at 8:50 then you should’ve closed at 8:50. If you’re open until 9, it’s you’re duty to serve guests until 9. Like it’s literally your job. You could’ve had my smoothie ready in less than five minutes and you still would’ve gotten out on time. It’s not like I was ordering food.
Anyways, I ended up going to Dairy Queen after and by the time I pulled up to the machine to order, it was literally 8:59pm and they were closing at 9pm. But guess what… they still served me. BECAUSE ITS THEIR JOB!
I’ve worked food service before. I get that it’s annoying when customers come in close to closing time but you just talk about them to your co-workers and move on. You don’t refuse service.
I don’t know what this girls name was but next time I go, I’ll definitely be getting it and filing a report....
Read moreI haven’t been to this location in years, the last time I was here, they put chicken on my hummus veggie wrap (that doesn’t even come with a meat at all); and the cashier had an attitude and refused to refund that. Well tonight I was in a hurry as we had sports and we needed a quick dinner, so I stopped here on the way home because it sounded good, and I had hoped their standards had risen. Nope! I ordered two Hummus Veggie Wraps, and a PB Cup Smoothie and a new Ohana smoothie. I ordered ahead and was happy to see my order ready and complete on time. Their pick up spot is weird, its almost behind the register, so I asked the cashier if I was allowed to grab it. She didn’t even look at me, let alone greet me or answer. I went ahead and grabbed it anyway and went home. Both smoothies were so bland, they didn’t taste even a little bit sweet. Both Hummus veggie wraps were gross. One didn’t have any rice in it, the other had no hummus (or at least not enough to see or taste), the avocado was brown, and both were absolutely drowning in ranch. I love ranch but I had to squeeze most of it out. Made the tortilla soggy and gross. I remember now why I stopped coming to this location! The ones in Flint are top-notch and so delicious and staff is much more friendly. I understand this Grand Blanc location is a franchise and not a corporate store, and boy, can you tell! They don’t uphold brand standards at all. So bummed I spent $32 on a crappy dinner. Won’t be back...
