Backyard Barbecue — Restaurant in Grand Blanc Charter Township

We tried this place a few days ago for the first time and we were very, very disappointed 😕😕 ordered 2 - four piece breasted chicken dinners and a large container of Mac and cheese because the girl said they did not have mashed potatoes and gravy which they advertised as a side , well anyway we started to eat our meals and realized the chicken was soooooo dry with no flavor, even the breasts we’re very dry inside?? And as for the Mac and cheese we tried the side that came with the dinner first to see how good it was because even looking at it did not look delicious and when we tasted it wow was we really disappointed 😕😕 really mushy and the flavor was not right, did not taste like any Mac and cheese I know of bland too , just a very disgusting meal for the price or any price for that matter😕😕 First and very last time going there !!!!! Almost $40 in the trash, the only good part was the roll and small side of bbq sauce which I dip my roll into, So THANK YOU BACK YARD BBQ FOR RUINING...

Today was my first try at backyard bbq. And I must say the meal was excellent. On Time when I got there and friendly service. I ordered rib tips(huge pieces) wing ding dinner with greens and macaroni and cheese. Everything was very good but I'm a cook so I'm very critical to my southern style of cooking so I can be a bit biased when it comes to greens and Mac and cheese. But everyone cooks differently which makes eating other people's cooking so satisfying. Will definitely be back for more. Wonder how the fish is? Next time May 2023 update: Never had an issue until recently. My usual order: two pounds of rib tips wedges and wing dings. In my experience as a cook something was different with my tips. They were very tough and seemed old. Meat was discolored so I know they were not fresh. I wonder if you can get made to order. I will still visit because I do understand that sometimes...

Definitely lost a costumer out of me and I’ll spread word to my friends and family who came here often. Super rude customer service over the phone when trying to place a to go order. I thought when a place closes they stop taking orders then, not before close. 20 mins before closing she answers and says she don’t care they close soon. 😂😂 kinda a joke for a business that has business hours to close before the hours posted. See other reviews of this as well. Like I said won’t be back bc idk if I wanna deal with...
