I stopped at Halo Burger in Gr Blanc today, shortly after 11am. I’ve not been to Haloburger in a couple of years. I tried to order the way I use to “1/4 lb burger deluxe w/cheese and olives”. I was rudely interrupted and informed “that’s an olive burger!” Before I could finish ordering the burger I was interrupted again with, “do want just the burger or a meal”? I chose the meal option but ordered onion rings. I was interrupted again with, “what kind of drink?” I asked for clarification that an “Oliver burger” would still come deluxe with cheese. She stated “yes” and started to end my order. I stopped her and told her I wanted to order another burger. I attempted to order my husbands burger- “1/2 lb supreme deluxe without cheese.” I was interrupted before I could finish the word deluxe” I repeated my order Before I left the “speaker”, I asked again about the Oliver burger. I pulled to the window. I was handed my food by a nice, friendly gentleman. Right away I noticed I had two orders of fries. I explained that I had ordered onion rings. He politely apologized and said he’d have them right out. Then the rude woman from the “speaker” showed up. “Well I’m going to have to charge you the extra 52 cents!” Which I said “that was fine. I told her I was sorry but she was not listening when I was trying to order.” She rudely stated, “Or the customer doesn’t know how to order right!” When I started to remind her that I tried to ask her questions 3 times, she said, “I’m not going to argue with you. I handed her my debit card and she stated she couldn’t take my card for 52 cents. I apologized and said, “This is all I have.” She said “Fine, I’ll just remove it!” and walked away. Then a minute later she returned and just said, “I’ll take that card now!”. I gave her card, she charged 52 cents and the gentleman handed me my onion rings. Ordering fast food really shouldn’t be that difficult. I have never been treated so rudely at any restaurant. Needless to say, I get home and guess what? My “Olive burger” had no olives and my husbands burger had cheese on it. We won’t be going back to this Haloburger. I wanted to select zero stars. But it won’t let you post unless you pick at least...
Read moreThis was our first visit to Halo Burger and most likely our last. When we pulled up to the drive thru there was only one car in the drive thru. We waited nearly five minutes before that car completed their order and moved forward. When it was our turn we ordered a Supreme Burger meal and an Olive Burger with a cup of water which came to $14 and some change. The younger girl who took payment at the window only charged $10 and some change. I looked at the receipt and noticed the Olive Burger was missing and the drink order was wrong so I brought it to her attention and she then brought it to the attention of the shift leader/ manager. A minute later the shift manager tells me that I was "getting away with" only paying for the meal I ordered for the $10 instead of $14 because to try to correct the mischarge would "cause her too much hell". A minute later the younger lady came back to the window and rang me up for the uncharged Olive Burger without the shift leader's knowledge which really confused me since I had just been told we wouldn't be charged for it. I ended up paying for the Olive Burger which was fine with me but there was obviously a lack of communication going on behind the window. The shift leader came back a final time and reiterated we were getting the Olive Burger for free along with our "free" water. I didn't really appreciate being made to feel as if I was trying to pull a fast one by getting free food when the mistake was on their end because of their lack of communication. We probably sat at the window around 5 minutes getting our food while they tried to figure things out. In the end my Supreme Burger was okay and the fries were barely warm. My wife wasn't impressed with the Olive Burger. I know mistakes happen and that wasn't a problem, but to be made to feel or perceived as the customer, that I was trying to act dishonestly when I simply pointed out our order was incomplete and I was undercharged is what really frustrates me. I hope my experience was a rare one, however I won't go to Halo Burger again after that. Sorry it was such a...
Read moreFinally tried Halo after 7 years of living in Michigan. Needless to say, I was a bit underwhelmed. The burger itself was great. What wasn't great, was my service and the rest of the food. I ordered 2 burgers, 2 small drinks, an order of cheese fries and an order of mozz sticks. The gentleman brought us our burgers, some tots and some mozz sticks. After telling him of the issue (missing cheese fries) - he brought me over a cup of cheese sauce asking if this would be ok. I told him I would rather have what I ordered seeing as it cost $28. I hated being petty, as he was very nice and I think he had a disability of some sort. Though with prices like they are, I want what I paid for. he eventually made his way back and brought us our cheese fries. Though it was tough not to go back up, as we could hear what we thought were the rest of the staff picking on him for some reason. We were just far enough away that I wasn't entirely positive this was happening and I didn't want to create any unnecessary drama by sticking up for the guy.
All in all, the burger was great but not great enough to have me return. Need to work on their service and...
