When my fiancée and I first moved to the area, we took recommendation from a friend and got sushi from here. We are both vegan and they have solid options, so we went for it.
Every time I go in there, the person at the front desk has his back turned or is on his phone to the point where I am entirely ignored and someone else acknowledges me before he does. If you’re going to be on your phone, at least face the door or get a bell on the door so you know when people are coming in and out.
They have very inaccurate prep times for food. I will show up after my promise time and still have to wait for 20 minutes. I see people who deliver for DoorDash sit there for 30 minutes waiting for someone’s food. Then when the food is ready, I have to point it out to the guy at the front desk because he is not paying attention.
I have gone on just about it every day of the week and this is a consistent experience. There is a younger girl who works there who always has an attitude and throws my food on the counter when I have my hand outstretched to take it from her. It’s not so much the putting the food on the counter, as the demeanor that she has while doing it.
There is one woman there who is very prompt at greeting people on busy days when they need to be seated and has talked to me a few times. But I have gotten so frustrated that we stopped going here entirely. The absolute only reason we will go is if we want sushi on a Sunday and Sushi Land is closed.
We were regulars here and now I dread setting foot inside that place. 11/10 do...
Read moreI would say food is just Fine but service not the best neither the way the restaurant is handled. I WILL Not Go back to the Hibachi side. Will rather eat at the side with the sushi…—- which still Is OverDue for better seating and environment. It Feels Like A CHEap Chinese rather than a Japanese Hibachi
We reserved for 6 pm for 4 people … we had to wait to be seated at the Hibachi side until another 4 strangers came to seat at the hibachi. It was very unpleasant to 1- not been able to enjoy a conversation in my own party because there was other people did not really red to know my business 2- have strangers with strong cigarette smell on their clothes and breath to the point that even their kids’ clothes stink cigarettes 3- as soon as the other side got their food, the staff immediately asked all people if needed boxes… so the other side of the table took the boxes packed their food and left. 4-our side of the family felt pressured by the staff to move on as the other side left as soon they got their food boxes and left. 5- We stayed at our side for as long as we enjoyed the food and were done eating —— that is what we were there for… to enjoy fresh cooked food, not to have food cooked and leave to go home to eat cold food. -/-/-/for the price of food Not worth -/-/For the quality of food just ok -/-/ for the service.. not the best -/-/ for the seating arrangements Certainly Bad -/-/ for environment ..looking to go...
Read moreI NEVER write poor reviews, cause I'm only one person with one experience...but this was next level. My friends and I ordered for take-out at 7 p.m. online, it said it would be done ASAP. I called to asked for an ETA on when it would be ready and was told that it could be an hour to an hour and a half. Ok, we'll wait. TWO HOURS went by with no call of an update on our food. We drive over there and call from outside because well...COVID. The guy answers and puts me on hold when I ask for an update. He then comes back on and says that they were having issues with online orders and were making the WALK-IN ORDERS A PRIORITY, instead of when the orders are each placed. He said if I come in to the restaurant, they can have our order done in 20 minutes. If that were the case, at 7 when I called, why didn't he just say I would be better off cancelling my online order and coming in with it instead? Or why didn't I get a call before the 2 hour mark?!
I know these are tough times for restaurants and everyone else, but this was unacceptable when it comes to service. Either they need to take the online order off their website for the time being or find a solution so that orders that are placed online aren't pushed to the back of the line. Taking the online order option off the website would be a good start for this time period so they can only take walk-in or over the phone orders and not get...
