This was our first time at an Aldi’s, we only have a Walmart and a small second store called Levers in Devils Lake ND, lots of people here have been saying to check out Aldi’s the next time we were in GrandForks. So we did and yes it’s crazy how many items they do carry, fresh produce delivered every day. Just wait until I tell you about the strawberry’s! As we walked up we noticed you had to use a quarter for a cart but you get it back when you are done, they do not use plastic bags and some people might dislike that but it’s definitely better for the environment. I will talk a little bit about the checkout at the end. We ended up getting a few snacks for our trip home as well as a few things for our boys. Prices here are crazy low, huge bag of white corn chips bigger than family sized bagels at Walmart were just over a dollar so I thought there must have been a bunch of bad ingredients but I was wrong, they only had 3, white corn, vegetable oil, and salt. They were delicious. Fruits and vegetables are beautiful there we buy strawberries from Walmart and we have bought the GEM packs that were supposed to be the best ones our Walmart carries, they had absolutely nothing on the strawberries from ALDI’s. They were so good we wished we would have bought a lot more. It really tasted like they were picked that morning and immediately brought to the store. I haven’t had strawberries that tasted that good in years. My wife said the mini organic cucumbers she got were way better than anything we have around here. An employee asked us if we needed help finding anything and we told him that we were from devils lake and he said there’s been allot of people coming from DL. Please put an ALDI’s here! Devils Lake ND needs one so bad! Our Walmart gouges us and checking out takes so long! As for ALDI’s checkout process it’s fast, the lady that checked us out was literally done in seconds. You take the stuff out of the cart they scan and put it in another cart for you! It was so fast that by the time we said thank you she was already done checking out the lady behind us. There is a spot to go to after checkout if you want to use your own bags or any container and it’s huge! Overall this place does have a huge selection of items from frozen food to regular food, produce, random house hold items to toys and pet supplies plus more, staff were friendly and inviting and the checkout was super fast! After we left we brought a bunch of it to a gentleman with no legs and in a wheelchair asking for help and he was a Vet. He was very happy! Definitely...
Read moreLove Aldi's! Great variety, prices are awesome, and I like the rotation of products. Haven't found anything I don't like. Usually busy in the afternoon and I see the staff smiling and taking care of the customers. I just find it's the customers who are rude, but you can't teach manners in Grand Forks. Hope Aldi's is around for a long time. Money goes further here than Wal-Mart. UPDATE: Great service and still one of the best values in town. Close Walmart and let Aldis take over their location. AUG 15th, great produce and lots of items with reduced pricing. Simply the best value in town. JAN 19th, Time to get some hot water in the bathrooms, its been months without water. Still lots of good products, and great produce. OCT 17th, keep bringing g the seasonal goodies, greatly...
Read moreALDI takes grocery shopping to the next level. They have a great assortment of different and unique food and drink products. My favorites are the Buffalo style chicken strips, mama cozy pizzas and different snack options. They also have a good produce and meat selection. There prices are good and competitive with other stores in the area. They have a great selection of chocolate and sweets for that person with a sweet tooth. Just remember to bring your quarter to get your cart and bags to carry your groceries home I suggest a heavy duty canvas bag. They do sell bags at the store for a small fee. But overall give ALDI a try great selections and it's nice to have different shopping options in the grand forks area. I give ALDI two thumbs-up thanks for reading have...
