Columbia Mall — Local services in Grand Forks

Sad to see this mall fall so low that it's not worth going there any more. Plus they have to shoe a picture of anouther business because the mall and the parking is in such poor condition. Take not of how Fargo kept their mall alive and booming and how much effort when into that in today's market place, when so many malls close across the U.S. Medical places and Churches don't belong in the mall, no does anything looking like a MA and pop store. Start making rent on there so good for the next 10 years to people who can actually set up a professional retail store, if it's priced better then right, not at that the expected retail price others are asking in GF. Get you food court looking professional, not slapped together like it looks like they did it them self and their signs, because they did. Get a real property manager that actually knows what their doing and what needs to be done. I could of had that going way better then all the others you ploped in there by now. The COVID pandemic saw the poor businesses collapse and the best businesses survive. Despite many of the empty spaces there is a thriving number of businesses in the Columbia Mall. The best stores with the widest variety of goods are Scheels Sporting Goods which also has a wide variety of clothes, shoes and the food court Gina's Cafe; and JCPenney which has the widest variety of curtains, bedspreads, towels, and jewelry in town, and also everything you need for a kitchen from cookware to small appliances in addition to its clothing lines: Worthington, Arizona, A.N.A., J. Ferrar, Liz Claiborne; plus an optical and eye exams too! A great place where guys, gals and kids all find something to do when the family comes to town. Disappointing! If Schells goes might as well close the place. The West African Cuisine has great food and the only place in the food court. Can't blame it all on the pandemic, owners need to take responsibility for the turnover. Not sure what the other reviewers see here. Yes, great location but little else. Need to go to Fargo to West Acres to see a proper local mall. LOTS of stores and food choices in the food court. A lot of effort to keep that mall looking good and fully functional.
