Firehouse Subs Southtowne Square — Restaurant in Grand Forks

My wife and I ate at this Firehouse on 04/28/2018 at approximately 6:00PM. I had a Firehouse Hero on white, my wife had the Hook and Ladder on wheat. Later that night both me and my wife became violently ill. This was the only meal that day where we had both eaten the same thing and we did not eat anything after. This resulted in an ER visit the next day as we were very dehydrated. This continued on for nearly 10 days for the both of us. We even had to have a follow up doctor visit on May 3, where the doctor stated that he believed it was food poisoning. We contacted Firehouse online and they directed us to an online form to fill out, which we did. We have not received any response from them for over a month now. This place will be closed soon unless they make some changes. I would have talked with a manager… except there were no managers on staff. There were two guys working, only one of which was doing anything. There were 5 customers waiting on their sub when I walked in. I waited 20 minutes, and all 5 of the others were still waiting as well. I asked for a refund as my sub hadn’t even been started yet. They couldn’t figure out how to refund me, and they couldn’t get ahold of a manager to help them. I ended up leaving with no food and no refund. Big changes needed. Took my 3 year old on a lunch date. Food was great. Service was AWFUL. The worker was wearing no apron, leggings, white sandals, and no hat/hair net, just a head scarf. She didnt say hello. Couldn't be bothered to hand me the treat for the kids meal, just set it on the receipt printer. I didnt know if I was supposed go grab my own milk and hat for my kid, but she didnt tell meotherwise, so I did. After I paid for our food, she didnt say another word to me otherwise.
