Yesterday my son and I went to the Grand Forks location to look for something for my husband for Father's Day. We did end up purchasing three shirts but no one greeted us when we walked in or checked to see if we needed help while we were browsing. Jennifer did help us to checkout but provided no other assistance.
Low and behold the shirts didn't fit so back to Boot Barn we went today. When we walked in again no one greeted us. I walked up to the counter and two employees were talking to each other instead of acknowledging me. The first thing that was said to me was "have a return?" again with no eye contact. My son and husband were browsing the shirts to find a different size. I met up with them and continued to look at shirts, pants and then belts, again with no associates approaching us to see if we needed help or had any questions.
When I went to check out another associate came over (after I waited for a minute) to assist me with my purchase. Once again absolutely no eye contact or greeting such as "did you find everything okay today?" The first thing he said to me was asking my phone number for rewards (which I do appreciate being asked but thing it should follow a proper greeting). Once my purchase was complete I went to the restroom while my son and husband went to the car. On my exit of the store all three associates were at the front (Jennifer who was working the night prior, the blond haired woman who helped with my return and the young gentleman who helped with my purchase today) and not one of them said goodbye, have a nice day, etc...
My husband and I have been loyal Boot Barn customers since long before it was even called Boot Barn! We frequently visited RCC when Joe was the manager (possibly owner, I'm not sure). He made sure that all employees had excellent customer service skills which is something that I feel Boot Barn now lacks! :( I have been to the locations in Fargo and Minneapolis and I feel like the Grand Forks location falls short!

Read moreHad a very horrible experience. We bought my wife boots she was going to wear to a concert. She was getting ready in them walking around the house and out to the car a few times. She didn’t even leave the house in them and they were hurting her feet so she changed shoes. We tried returning them within a week and they said since they were put on out side they wouldn’t take them back. My wife and her family all ride horses and have had boots all their lives a lot of them from boot barn. These were poor quality boots for $300 and to be treated like we were up to something by the staff was just unprofessional. None of our family will be returning to boot barn for new boots ever again!! I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone I honestly would go to home of Economy is great or even scheels. They seem to actually treats their customers with some value. Thanks for...
Read moreI just walked out of boot barn with my family, I'm disgusted with their Customer service. As we was sitting there trying on boots I was politely trying to ask (he cut me off mid sentence) one of the "key holders" if they had a different size and he might as well just yelled "Nope, if your asking if we have anything in the back hiding, we don't!" Yes, I understand retail is hard, but if you can't handle it and have customer service, the solution is simple DON'T WORK RETAIL. I will never walk into a Boot Barn again, not to mention we was going to purchase not one but TWO pair of boots. As soon as he gave us attitude we sat the boots down. I don't think this is a way to treat any of your...
