My family and I have been regulars at this location for many years. It has gone through a lot of changes in the times its been in Grand Forks, but let me say, its not been for the better.
Management and staff are not the warm and friendly faces you came to know and love at this location. We used to go there because of the warm atmosphere. Not it seems like all you get is anger and bitterness, especially from the female manager/supervisor. She never seems happy, always barking at everyone (even customers) and just seems to enjoy correcting people or enforcing rules. She is NOT what you would expect.
We were there this past Friday for dinner around 6 pm with my wife, kids (4), and Aunt, so it was a party of 7. Seating there is hard for larger families as most tables fit 2 or 4. What we have done for 10+ years is there is not big enough tables, we will just take 2 of the 4 person tables and push them together. We have one more times than I can count. But on this occasion I was very quickly and coldly snapped at by an employee that. "this isnt allowed. You will have to put those tables back." So we had to put them back and my family had to be split up between different tables. This person was cold and very unapologetic in her telling us this, getting the attention of all those seated around us.
Let me tell you, if it werent for my kids liking the arcade and winning prizes (my kids are 4 and 6 - two sets of twins), we would NOT be going back. And we usually average a couple visits a month here. This place has changed and not for the better. Food is still passable (lots of empties on busy nights), but service is awful. Ownership needs to find new management that can create a better atmosphere that instills that in...
Read moreFood was great! We love the garlic cheese and the macaroni pizzas! The chick that was cleaning our table was disgustingly rude to my family and I. I did not see a name tag or anything, but I did ask another employee that person’s name and they said Amanda or Amber or something like that. I could be wrong about the name, so sorry in advance! The reason I say she was really rude is because every time she came over to where we were sitting, she would wipe the table with such contempt that it moved away from the adjoining table. She also repeatedly snatched our dishes. We asked her if we were supposed to tip her or if they were not allowed to get tips, and she told us that we were supposed to give her the money because her coworkers steal. That was really inappropriate and bizarre to tell customers. I then asked her nicely if I could get some of the kid cups for my older kids (they’re 9 & 11) so that we could go to the arcade, and she refused to even acknowledge me. My husband said that he saw her rolling her eyes a few times when I asked her for extra stuff, and when we placed an order for custom pizzas. We were pretty dismayed by her behavior. We never even got to go to the arcade because of her! This was the first time we had been to pizza ranch in GF in about 4 years because of prior employees being nasty to my (now deceased) best friend. Hopefully you guys get it together because we really enjoy pizza ranch and we would love to actually visit the...
Read morePizza ranch is a new place for us. We’re from the south but started traveling for work so we’ve visited Pizza ranch a few times over the past year. It’s always nice folks, clean restaurant and hot and fresh food. We had a good experience today but there were a few things that I noticed were different from other locations that I think could be improved upon. We were there during 1-2 pm and there wasn’t much added to the pizza buffet area during the whole time we were there. When we paid we were asked if we wanted to request a special pizza but it looked well stocked and I saw it had taco pizza so I was satisfied but once I tried the taco pizza it was old and dried out. I would have said something but I was full pretty full after chicken and sides. I was also sad there wasn’t a pasta dish- there’s noodles and sauce on the side but it doesn’t taste the same. Additionally there wasn’t much on the desert bar- only two fruit flavored pizzas and ice cream. Why does this location not have the cookie pizza or ice cream cones? The cookie is a favorite and I was disappointed. Overall I do like Pizza ranch and feel like it’s a good value for something better than a burger and fries with good atmosphere and service. Wish we had it in the south- Cicis does not...
