Mi-Rural records — Local services in Grand Ledge

I came for 4 vinyls including 1 of the two copies of Wicked that the store had in stock. Being second in line, copy of Wicked seemed easy enough to expect. However when a man saw I had the copy of Wicked he got confrontational and aggressive. I was actually scared he was going to physically assault me so I felt I was being forced to give up the Wicked vinyl to him out of fear of injury.

No one should wait in a line for 9 hours, be second in that line and leave with nothing in hand. The system the owner had in place was flawed, unorganized and unfair to customers who sat out the entire night. This experience left me shaken and devastated and theres nothing that could get me to go back or recommend it for RSD release day to anyone. Be prepared to be disappointed not because of the small amount of stock for RSD releases, but for the unorganized chaos that leads to a likely inability to get what you came for even when youre at the front...

This place is so great! My girlfriend and I stopped in a few weeks ago after eating at one of the nearby places. We had never heard of this shop, but we never pass up a local record store. I am very glad we stopped in!

They have one of the most diverse, plentiful selection of records I have seen at a store in the Lansing area. The prices are insanely low too. I was able to get three records for ~$40. If there is anything you have been hunting for, this is the place to go!

We were able to chat with the owner for a few minutes and he is a great guy with a passion for music, and a real respect for interests and tastes of different people. That is very rare to see at a lot of shops, so it makes this place truly special.

This has to be one of the best record shops in the area! The hours make sense, and I really appreciate that the owner is willing to stay open a little longer so I can browse after work. The selection was great when he first opened the store, but it has grown immensely since then! Chris is always fantastic to talk to about music; he's very knowledgeable.
