I am so incredibly grateful for Mckalyn at salon 219. She listens to what you want and then provides advice on how to get the results you’re looking for. She’s extremely transparent on what she will be doing and and loves to communicate each step she will be taking. She has given so much great advice on how to better take care of my color and how I can make it last longer (because she knows I’m broke) and I have never come across a stylist that truly cares about you in and outside of the salon. Booked an appointment online for my 5 year old daughter with the only stylist available. Received a confirmation text message. Confirmed via text. Just received a call 1 hour before my appointment telling me that the stylist I booked with does not do kid’s cuts (remind you, she was the only stylist available on the website to book a kid’s cut with). I was also informed that no other appointments were available today even though it was their mistake and I informed them that my entire day was planned around the appointment. First time at the salon, I received a text from stylist to come in early, the whole point of scheduling a 6pm haircut is because I have to work. I told her I could make it in a little earlier. She then asked if I wanted my hair washed? She seemed to be in a rush for whatever reason, red flag #1. I had a photo of the haircut I wanted, she barely looked at it or asked me any questions.
