Corner Cone — Restaurant in Grand Ledge

I want to love this place. It’s locally owned and we can walk to it from our home. The ice cream is good but not for the price. My biggest issue is the service. We have been here several times this summer alone and there have been long lines and only one window open. Not only do they never seem to have a second person working the second window, but the same person who is doing the ordering is making the ice cream. It takes them about 15 minutes on average PER order, so if there are two groups (of 2 people like in our case today) ahead of you, be prepared to wait 30 min just to get to the window. Don’t even bother going on the weekend or after a sports event unless you have all night to wait in line. Just waited 30 min for this half full waffle cone that cost $3.50. My son was...

I love This Little Diner / Ice Cream Shop. The girls always have me laughing abs are in a food moods which is nice when you’re going to a happy place.

The first time i was here they were wearing banana costumes and were singing ABBA tunes. It was quite fun and i have come back many times this year and have always had a great time !!!

And that’s just standing at outside window. No telling how much fun you have if you went inside for a sit down !!! I think they would have your rolling on the floor with their silliness !!!

Anyway, my point is, i have always had an enjoyable time at the Corner Cone !!!

I got a “speciality” hot fudge brownie sundae for $6.00 (ridiculous) It was just a bowl of vanilla ice cream with a solid chunk of brownie stuck in the side of the ice cream (not even at the bottom). As far as the hot fudge goes, there was no fudge. I was handed a cold bowl with three lines of Hershey’s chocolate syrup. When I asked the girl at the window why there wasn’t fudge she looked at me like a catfish and said “there’s fudge” and nothing else, so I walked away.
