The coffee, food, and atmosphere at Toads are filled with tons of thoughtful details to create a unique coffee shop in our little town that could go toe to toe with any indie coffee shop in the country. Iced coffee isn't just an afterthought here - they use coffee cubes so it's nice and strong from start to finish. We also got the Karate Latte and Mocha Mocha, which were both delicious. They have a wide variety of syrups and sizes available, in addition to their specialties, to make just about anything you could want! The omnivore breakfast sandwich was an absolute treat! It came on pillowy, grilled pita-like bread and was large enough that my husband and I could split it. The combination of sausage, peppers, and feta was super tasty and the home fries were well seasoned and crispy. They also have lots of fun options for kids, juice, milk, and fresh fruit, too. The back end of the shop has t-shirts, quirky gifts, and a wide selection of frisbees, climbing, and outdoor gear. If you're looking to add to your collection, forgot something at home, or had something break to ruin your trip, this place could save you! There are games and coloring pages enough to keep everyone occupied while you enjoy your food and drinks. They have plenty of table top seating and comfortable couches. The music selection was also delightful and not at all pretentious. It was reasonably priced so we fed the whole family breakfast and got specialty drinks for around $35. Just great, mellow, family friendly vibes all around. If you're visiting Grand Ledge for the parks, add this to your trip and you will not be disappointed. If you're a local, make sure to stop in frequently enough that this gem stays a staple in our community for many years to come!

The atmosphere is very calm and welcoming, I really like the more sustainable options they have for mugs and dishes. The menu is bright and well written and easy to read, they also happened to have decaf and at least 3 sugar free options for me to choose from, as a diabetic that loves coffee I was very excited. They had games and chalk available to use while waiting, and an entire outdoor store collection to peruse (we didn't get a chance this time to stop and check it all out). I got their pesto panini and added chicken, it came with some good homemade style potato chips, and the chicken noodle soup I ordered on the side was just the right amount of salty and earthy. The workers were very nice and friendly, we will absolutely come back again soon.

To echo another reviewer, Toads is thee place to stop when you’re in Grand Ledge. From the cute sign ( a friendly toad), to the cozy sportsy decor, the vast and creative drinks and food menu, and the fun little gift shop area, Toads is an experience and I’m so glad I discovered it. My latte was delicious, I had an apple themed drink with oat milk, the coffee itself tasted rich and the flavors were just enough to compliment it nicely and give me the taste of autumn I’d been hoping for. I learned their ice cubes are also not made of water, but of coffee! This keeps the coffee from getting watered down, genius. Definitely check out Toads if you’re in Grabd Ledge. Great places to sit and enjoy time with friends, or just a cup or meal to yourself.
