I was extremely disappointed but who I believe is Loss prevention and member of leadership. I had intention to stop by and purchase an ottoman that I found at my last visit at this location, purchasing a chair. I only avoided the purchase then because of the size of products. As I always do, I visited with my earbuds in and had a small bag that contains my wallet, keys and airpod case. As I am looking at big items theres an employee with a blue shirt that ensures I hear them, asks me if I needed assistance. It was in that moment that I felt uncomfortable for the first time ever in this Target or any other. When you go into a store you want to feel welcome enough and comfortable enough to walk in and pick up what you need just like the people they AREN'T profiling. I wouldn't feel comfortable going into someone's house that's going to watch me the entire time. Am I supposed to think “they're just making sure I'm not stealing any of their valuables."? I'm going to leave immediately because that's just not how you treat somebody that you “WELCOME” into your business, home, etc. Racially profiling isn't someone doing their job! It's them discriminating, belittling, and downright prejudice! Even if none of us have any intentions on purchasing anything, we should be able to go into any store and walk around freely without feeling followed by loss prevention. I guarantee some suburban mom walks into Target right now, she's going to have all the freedom she needs to pick whatever she came there for. When in reality, she's probably the reason why the batteries always comes up short during inventory because it gives her a rush. Bottom line is, it's never to okay to follow any of us around because our skin doesn't look like yours. I have shopped at Target religiously and recently opened a credit card to take advantage of the discount and this likely is going to have me reevaluate it all. I encourage you to search my rewards account 817--*. I spend money and barely EVER return items so why was it this time that Target treated me this way. Was it because I am a black male who entered the store with a bag? If I ever shop here again, I won’t do that again and hopefully I am not forced to come back. I’d rather wait in Walmart long lines than ever experience this again. You’ve lost a good customer. I will be taking this survey response to other platforms and will also be submitting another complaint because I have INTEGRITY and reentered the store to buy an extension cord that the cashier overlooked in my cart. I am so uncomfortable and...

Today at approximately 10am I went to Target to purchase a TV. A few days ago my wife went to the same store and spoke with a female working in electronics and my wife was told that some of the display tv's would be on sale and with an additional 70 percent off, but we would have to come back on Monday (today by 10am). Today I spoke with a young man who was working in the area but was not sure of the sale. He called the Lead who work in the department via cell phone. I personally heard her tell the gentleman that the TVs that are on clearance were on sale and if the TVs were on display, they were an additional 70 percent off. The gentleman could not get the price to ring up right, so he escorted me to the front counter and explained to the customer service rep that he needed the TV marked down and he was really sure how to mark the TV down. At some point the store manager Josh Lara walked over to the area and they asked him for his assistance. At some point Josh told me that he would not sale me the TV for the additional 70 percent off. The initial gentleman tried to explain to the manager that the lead over the department instructed him that the TV was an additional 70% off because it was a display tv.
I interjected and explained to the manager Josh Lara that as a customer I was told by 2 of his employees that the TV was 70% off and my wife was told by one employee that the tv was 70% off. I told him that I didn't think that it was morally right that he had an employee right next to him who admitted that they told me the tv was on sale and he was not going to honor their word. The manager Josh Lara began to demonstrate a very cocky and condescending attitude. Josh Lara treated me like I was a crook who was inside of HIS personal store and was trying to TAKE from him personally vs an honest customer who was informed by two supervisor/team leads in the department.
Josh Lara showed no compassion nor empathy!!! I cannot imagine The CEO Brian Cornell would condone this type of treatment related to the customer service. Josh Lara displayed actions such as those I would expect from a Walmart team lead in the underserved...
Read moreWe live in the area and this target seems to show racial bias quite badly . Today marks the 3rd incident with an employee . A month ago I was at self check out and needed to draw out 80 … there was someone who needed help but Instead the older white woman wanted to just hover over me . As I pulled money out she kept saying how I could only pull out one time . I said I neee to use it twice which I did and she was so annoyed by that even though there was no one but me and another customer who ACTUALLY needed help , she then proceeded to tell me it usually doesn’t work twice and I should go to a bank next time … over 80 bucks . I let her know to mind her business and help the person in need .
Today … my husband and I are in a regular line .. and the worker asks him “how will you be paying “ which we don’t recall her asking the few people ahead of us … he goes “card “ and she goes “you can use an EBT “ … first of all while there is nothing wrong with an EBT … we indeed WERE NOT using one … why would she assume we were … hmmmm I wonder . My husband and I do incredibly well for ourselves …. A target worker shouldn’t be asking these kinds of questions especially if not to everyone . Little does she know . Your employees need training it’s crazy how they act as if they own the store with their hourly pay...
