Starbucks — Restaurant in Grand Prairie

Listen. We all have our bad days, that’s 100%. But the way the people here could care less about the customers actually blew my mind. I ordered a Frappe and said “I hate to be this person but I haven’t had a frappe in years and would like to order one, is that okay?” No acknowledgment, just told me my total. She continued to make my drink, no smile no personality or anything. I shrugged it off as sometimes people have bad days and idk what she is going through. Another girl took over, a girl with pink hair, and was doing a good job. The drink looked good, she made it pretty. Again, extending an olive branch, I said “awh that looks so good!” Happily to compliment her on the good looking drink. I swear you could see her life force drained from her eyes they could not care at all at my comment. Shocked I didn’t hear anything or even a smile or acknowledgment. Fine. Whatever. They handed me the drink, I said thank you VERY politely, again trying to extend an olive branch because I’m the kind of person who wants to be everyone’s friend. Nothing. Listen, I looked about their age so we all grew up in the same time. Being kind is ALL that matters and those girls seemed like they could give a rats butt about my existence. Hit or miss. New employee has no idea what she’s doing. She’s very nice, but my god. She made a drink that was half espresso when I asked for a chai latte. It was bitter and undrinkable. I had one sip and just left it in my car so I could throw it away later. The other workers know what they’re doing. I tried to go back today, hoping one of the “veteran” employees were there. Nope. I tried placing my order and she had a million questions about it. I just gave up and left without a drink....

The baristas were not friendly at all. What happened to customer service? It’s like it doesn’t exist anymore? There was a drink sitting there ready to be picked up and asked if it was the drink I ordered just to make sure. The Barista looked at me as if I was bothering her and just nodded her head in a sarcastic manner. I will continue to go to my regular location from here on out so I don’t feel unwanted. People need training on how to be a decent human along with ringing...
