To make a long story short, I will not go back. I was told 2 weeks and waited 5 months. I was told it’d be covered under warranty and it wasn’t. And they had poor communication. I was only contacted once and that was after needing to call 4-5 times during this entire process.
I took my brand new Serger in to have one front panel replaced. That was in March. I was told originally it would take 2 weeks and it would be covered under warranty.
After 3 weeks, they hadn’t called, so I did. They told me their repair guy was having medical problems and it would now be 4 weeks. Understandable, so I waited 4 more weeks.
After 4 weeks, they still hadn’t called, so I did. They told me the same story, and when I asked for where they were in the processes of repairing it, they didn’t know. So I went in to pick it up, only to learn I couldn’t because they had already ordered the part and I’d have to pay $10. So I kept waiting.
They still gave no updates after another 2 weeks. I called around the first week of July, so people were off on holidays for the weekend and was told I’d get a call right on Monday. A week later with STILL NO CALL, I had to call yet again. They still didn’t know where they were in the process of ordering the part.
Finally I was told a Manager would get ahold of brother to find out where the part was. Given this is all on brother for being slow on their end, and when they finally got in touch, I was told the part wouldn’t be finished for shipping until end of July.
Whatever. I waited. Finally today I get the call the machine is done (it’s now August). It took 5 months, not 2 weeks. And when I get there, come to find out, it’s gonna be $10. Now I know that’s not a big deal, but dammit it was supposed to be covered. And my options were to pay or leave it there so they can get ahold of brother.
Obviously my repeat business wasn’t worth $10 to them. This would have been a much better experience if they actually cared to called me with updates, but they preferred to ignore me. I almost cried when I picked it up cause I was so frustrated. These people do not care about...
Read moreI was looking for a particular brand to buy for my daughter and grand daughters so I called Betsy at Gall. She knew exactly what I was looking for, was very courteous and knowledgeable. So we drove 40 miles up to her store to look. She had the one she thought would be best for us, out of the box and ready to show us. She took her time in explaining the differences in the machines in our price range, and when we decided on one, she showed me how to use it, tips for better operation. When I got it home, I used it for a week to make sure I knew how to use it so I could show my girls. She was right on! The perfect machine for us to give our girls. We highly recommend her and her store to anyone looking for any range of machines from beginners to the highest fabric designers. She knows her machines and her customers. Thank you for making the purchase...
Read moreWhen I brought in my old sewing machine for repair, the Wyoming Gall staff was very helpful and respectful. Of course, they did show me some new machines, but I did not feel pressured to buy at that time. When I returned later to actually buy a machine, again I was treated with courtesy. The salesperson listened carefully to what I wanted and needed in a machine, and did not try to oversell (which would have driven me out the door in a minute.) After I paid for the machine, I expressed some concerns about getting started with it, so I was immediately whisked into the classroom at the back of the store and given full instructions on how to thread the machine and how to make the best use of its various stitches. And I was informed that I can come back as needed to get questions answered. Couldn't have...
