Carlo’s Pizza Plainfield Ave — Restaurant in Grand Rapids

Been seeing Pizza on Fb, and i love pizza. Its like a staple in my house like a gallon of milk. So i thought I'd try it once. The first time i listen to google and hours were not updated. The next time just recently. I was out doing some christmas shopping, and decided to give it a whirl. I ordered a Gino's pizza. While i was in area I also went to vitamin shop, and a chines restaurant. When i went into Carlo's i was greeted, and didn't wait long for my food. I seen these salads, and they said they were six bucks, I was sold. Frickin big enough for two or three people, but i ate it myself over 24 hour period. I even ate the tomato slices, which if you ask my friends I don't do tomatoes unless im goulash or spaghetti of ketchup. The pizza was great I really felt something wasn't right with taste but, bit I am guessing it was the style I got. But the toppings were plenty, and after eating half i gave a friend of mine the other half. She said her family made short work of it. I was impressed enough, that I will not only be ordering from them again. But I will for sure be getting more healthy salads. Even if price goes up a buck. So if you like pizza like I love pizza give them a try. I believe you won't be disappointed. Easy parking, lots of space, who knows while you wait you might find other business you like as well. Carlo’s Italian Pizzeria = The ONLY place to ever order pizza and other delish food from!! We were already fans of this family-owned delish pizza place on Plainfield NE, but Gino & Heather took it to another level which I didn’t think was possible. We were having a college graduation party for my daughter on a Sunday evening and she asked to have Carlo’s pizza and parmesan bites to chow down. I called the restaurant on the Wednesday before the party to just give them a heads up that we’d be ordering a dozen or so pizzas. Gino, himself, answered the phone and listened to my story and thanked me for being a customer….and proceeded to tell me they were closed Sundays. But, here is the kicker……they would OPEN JUST TO FILL OUR ORDER! Say what!? I could not believe my ears. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! And…they would deliver the pizzas for us !! ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!! This experience is just amazing and I tell every person that I get a chance to about how WONDERFUL Carlo’s is…for...

Placed order before 6pm. Order was supposed to be ready at 630pm. They sent email saying it was "delayed" and to arrive at 650pm instead. Fine. Arrived at 655pm and they have employees yelling at other employees to not answer the phones to take carry out orders and no answer on when our order will actually be ready. Then the owner or who we assume is owner is talking trash to someone on the phone about how he makes half a million a year on online orders and he doesnt care if people dont get their food because they have to wait over an hour... its no sweat off his back to have orders ready at the correct times. WOW! Entitled and disrespectful.

This was our 1st time trying Carlos since moving to the area. Unfortunately after this experience, we likely wont be back. The staff wasnt even friendly. They all were very rude and short with the customers who were all just sick of waiting for over half an hour with no updates...
