Clock Tower Records — Local services in Grass Valley

I spent an hour at this record/equip store yesterday. Nice selection of CDs and LPs. I found most of the CDs I was looking for at good prices. They are helpful and honest. Also, I've been helping people buy stereo equipment since 1973, and from what I saw - they sell high-quality stereo equip at a good prices, so you likely would be happy with their used stereo components. Gee - they had a reel-to-reel machine, a fine looking Marantz cassette player, and some good looking turntables, which are tricky to set up correctly (there are about 5 adjustments related to the arm and cartridge and I bet they do...

This is the kind of store that helped create my passion for music. Clock Tower maintains a great variety of music & the staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable. This is the place a grandmother could go into and ask for a recommendation for their grand kid who likes reggae... She will leave feeling confident she got the right choice! I miss record stores, thankfully I stumbled on...

One of the two or three best things about Grass Valley… Tucked in the back, beyond the vinyl, a handful of books – apparently carefully chosen. I picked up the book on The Wrecking Crew – the documentary was good, the book is GREAT… so glad to have found it. Also in the back: my next turntable…

There may not be a Tower Records anymore, but there is a Clock Tower Records....
