Edit: Rude/bitchy service, highly recommend Gary’s Place. A lot better service, and chill environment.

I was visiting my friend who just recently moved here from across the country. We were hoping to find some new spots, but would strongly recommend not choosing this bar if you have an out of state ID.

I understand if a bartender isn’t sure if an ID is real or not because they had never seen a Vermont ID before, to respectfully let us know she couldn’t serve us just to be safe. But, after bringing them to 2 other workers, she came back and gave us unnecessary attitude while throwing our IDs at us and telling us they were fake. My friend offered her military photo ID, because they indeed are not fake, but she refused to look at it and gave us more attitude and told us we were lying. As a 23 year old who was just trying to see the area, I felt extremely disrespected all because a bartender couldn’t tell what a Vermont...

The old, bald, unfriendly bartender obviously loathes his customers as witnessed by his tee shirt that says, "I like the sound you make when you shut up". When we walked in the music was off and there were 10 people sitting at the bar. We were able to speak to each other and enjoy our beer. Then the bartender puts on some horrible techno music and cranks it way, way up. In a few minutes 6 people left. We had to stop talking to each other because we didn't want to scream. One couple opened the door partially to come in and then backed out. We gulped down our beers and left while the bartender was playing pool. So he achieved his objective of an empty bar. I am a Vietnam Veteran. As a result of my service I suffer from injuries due to the war. I have a service dog who assists me with my disability.

This this past January I went into the the club and they refused to serve me because of my (legitimate - service animal with 14 months of training) canine. They were very rude and would not even entertain my animals status. Even one of the intoxicated patrons joined in with insults to my service animal.

As a veteran and as a person, I will never patronize this establishment again. I have rarely been treated like this since I got back...
