I had an awful experience at this AT&T store. On 6/29/22 I went to the store to reopen my AT&T account. I was seen by a young man. He told me that if I change my cell phone #, I'd be eligible for many extras. He said if I keep my cell phone # I would not receive any benefits. I asked 'what king of benefits ? He responded 'if you want to trade your cell phone for a new one you get the new one for free.' That did sound unlikely, but not thinking through the ramifications of changing my cell phone #, I went ahead. My only excuse is that I am in my 80's and have slowed down a good deal. Well, my life has been an awful TV sitcom since. At home I needed some technical help with the new phone. I called 611 and to my great surprise they told me 'we can't help you because you have a business acct. ' I was never told that I was signing on to a business account!!! I went to the store the next day and saw the manager. He confirmed that I have a business account and that cannot be changed!!! I faced the reality that I was duped!! At no time in my life have I ever accepted defeat...so I confronted this problem. I called AT&T and went to their technology dept. They were eager to try to help me. After many, many hours of trying, not one tech could fix this. One day 7 hours straight with 2 different staff, one day 5 hours straight , etc. etc. (Several Techs tried and could not help. )I reached up to the President's office. So many issues have come up because people, doctors, organizations, handyman, etc. do not have my new number. Today, I went to my dental appt. only to find the office closed. I am sure he tried to reach me on my old cell # to inform me , but this has been happening with so many situations! Hopefully, if you use this store, you will be careful not to fall for a sales pitch that is not in your...
Read moreWent in to inquire about switching to AT&T from Cricket. I had already spoken to someone on the customer service line and thought I would go into the store to see if there were any deals going on. I was immediately met with a very off putting sales rep named steven. I had mentioned that I was looking to move over to at&t and was told that my number could not be brought over even though I was told by a woman on the customer service line that I could bring my number over. Immediately I was upset by this but thought I would amuse the idea of a new number and reach out to customer service to get it remedied. Steven then tried to force multiple products and services down my throat such as charging cables and chargers saying if I got a new phone any old chargers would damage my new one and tried to sell me on your tv service. I went in with an inquire and left completely overwhelmed by the situation. Never will I return to...
Read moreI came into the store tonight with an iPhone 8plus that I paid off and upgrade to an iPhone 11pro Max. I just needed help with transferring my information from the old phone to the new phone. I was told by the employee that he could not help me and that they don’t do that here and I would just need to access the iCloud to down load my information from the old phone to the new phone. I just wanted help to do that so I would not mess up my new phone. The employee acted like I was bothering him. He told me that he could not help me at all. I guess I will. It be going back to the store anytime soon. I thought the employees were here to help the customers. I guess...
