Thirty one years ago, at a “warehouse sale” by J. Peterman Co. being held in the Chicago Loop, I was browsing and spotted a large two-tone brown/tan heavy wool blanket with a beautiful outdoor and moose design, but because the price tag was very high, I assumed it was for display. I’m an outdoor girl who lived in the mountains in my 20s and 30s, loves the woods, Native culture and MOOSE, so I took a closer look, saw that it was a TP Saddle Blanket, asked about the price and snatched it up for almost nothing...and I use it every single Chicago winter. This store is not to be missed! I always walk away with unique treasures like a beautiful and cozy blanket, a great winter cardigan, cozy socks for my husband, or even a great pair of earrings. The theme is decidedly western and Native American, which is not even my style, but somehow I can't resist the quality and uniqueness of each item in the store.
