Food King — Local services in Greeley

Unfortunately experienced a distasteful situation with the produce that my wife and I had bought from this store. We bought 2 hamburger meat in all around covered packaging last night 5/23/2020. My family and I started cooking the hamburger meat earlier today 5/24/2020. My family member made a comment to us that the meat tasted wired and didn’t want to continue eating it. My mother had checked the meat and on our second package she did notice molded hamburger meat. Some family members had already ate and the rest was thrown out. We approached customer service with a manager on shift “Beatriz.” When we placed the item on the counter she automatically made the comment that they are not allowed to do returns/exchanges due to the pandemic. We understand the crisis and policy changes due to covid. However, not having the sympathy and understanding that our family had already ate this product and had found mold on the hamburgers that were left before continue to cook. It was an unnecessary back and forth issue with her. Once we spoke to another employee “Douglas” we were able to receive our money back. Yes, we wanted our money back; however, our main matter to this issue is our family that ate this product and the mangers not realizing this could go back on them if it would to be a bigger health issue. We hope they removed all product under the same packaging even though it’s not expired. Employees need to make sure they are not placing frozen foods that are left out by costumers and placing them back in the freezer knowing the food will go bad. Beatriz had poor costumer service due to her making laughter and shaking her head making it seem that we were making a big deal out of the situation. I have a son that lives in Denver and this Greeley Food King has a Western Union inside. I was in and out in under ten minutes! On another occasion, two pretty young ladies were working the Western Union counter, which is also for other services. I had been in to send some money out of the country to Ghana. My friend there couldn't pick it up as the government no longer recognized the very identification cards that they themselves dispersed. My friend was in pretty dire straights. When I explained that, a few days later, on a return trip to Food King, the two employees told me they would figure a way to make it work. As I was running late for another errand of sorts, I returned about 20 minutes later. The girls told me it took some time, and they think that the problem was solved. They actually called a bank in Ghana to make sure the transaction was successful, and it was. He received the money almost immediately in his account. That was above and beyond the employees job description.The downside though, my first trip there, I had an address for the closest Western Union and asked the manager at the Food King where this address was or if he knew of a Western Union close by. He sent me across the street! He was not aware of the address or the Western Union at his own store! Thank goodness I saw the address as I headed out the door! The girls made up for it though....

There's usually a lot of prices that don't match when you go and pay for your stuff, however I let it passed, instead of waiting since I'm extremely tired from work and just want to get my family's dinner going before it get to late, bakery manager is that only person polite there, nobody smiles or greets you which it's fine one of the reasons I prefer self checkout, for the unnecessary conversations, but cashiers are still just standing around talking about what dance they're going to and what they're going to wear. Any how was in there the other day after a hard day at work cashier at self checkout all of the sudden wants to fix the super thin bags around the area I'm bagging my groceries and just staring making sure I scan everything, only get stopped by security guard as I'm walking out, when there's other people walking out ,but only asked me for my receipt, I told him I didn't have to show him my receipt, but he grabbed to my shopping cart to just leave there I went ahead and showed him he said " see it wasn't that hard" as I'm walking to my car I was thinking why should I spend my hard earned money here when I just can go somewhere else.
