Party America — Local services in Greeley

Very disappointed. I’ve come here on several occasions over the years because it’s the only place in town. I feel like they take advantage of this fact by keeping odd hours and putting odd signs up like “ no returns” and raising rates. Who in the free world has no returns? That leads me to believe and so has my experience, that the items will break and they do. They cost more than Hobby lobby, Michaels, Walmart and literally anywhere in town. This place has NO wrapping paper or bags, I find that odd. They claim that if you bring in a balloon and it pops that it’s the balloons fault, so last year we only bought theirs which naturally cost more, but we assumed they were better. 2 popped in the car, 1 more at home. By then your elbow deep in party needs and can’t just come back to have a balloon remade and what’s the point after the fact? Remember they don’t do returns so…

Aside from all of this I get the feeling this place is independently owned. We get weird looks when we are in there and there’s absolutely no bedside manner from anyone in the place. They are like robots. I don’t even bring my children in with me because the women don’t like them touching anything and are very curt with them. I think they assume every child is a mini shoplifter, it was very odd. buy at your own expense essentially. So for me and my experiences, this place is just meh.I see no point in going back in. Even the little hobby lobby in town has much much better prices and selection and it’s on a muuuuuch better...

Never have I ever been sooo racially profiled in my life! I am bi racial and I came in like everyone else to get some costume odds and ends and to buy my children costumes. I walked in and nobody greeted me ( that’s fine) girls were talking behind desk. The moment my eldest daughter picked up a lil girls costume hanging on a rack this older woman came from out of nowhere (an employee or owner who knows) and allowed us to hold it for a minute then popped up at the area where the costume on the wall were on sale and insisted she’d hold the costume behind the counter for us. Rude and sketchy. Then we got in line to try on a costume for my son and the lady back there decided she’d walk it up to the desk for us. There was a line so she made sure to tell the cashier she was setting it there for us. Funny thing is she didn’t do the courtesy for the young Caucasian couple who were ahead of us. They got to carry their own items to the register and so did all the other customers in line ahead of us. Hmmm. Makes you think why we were so special to get extra attention. I will never step foot in their store again. I have a good job, despise stealing, lying or...

I truly hate to complain. But this location is never open. They open at 8am? And they are closed by 5pm. For it to be a corporate store gone franchise? Is a question of certain standards. Business flexibility for the public is a matter of retail commitment for consumers. And if that consumer cannot consume. How does a business expect to thrive? I believe that if this Greeley location extended their hours even to 7pm. They would see more revenue. Think about American working lives, who are busy and need the stores we love...
