I would NOT endorse or recommend the establishment that of âQUALITY AUTO SOUND" to my worst enemy. My recent purchase with this company has been the most unpleasant irksome experience of my life. What started off as a very pleasant interaction with Isaac (who is more than likely the only professional employee here, unfortunately he is not the manager) turned into a nightmare. I came in looking for a basic stereo system with some nice mid-range bass and clarity. Isaac played me a floor sample of what my set up would sound like (which sounded great for what I wanted). After the install I picked up my car, Isaac played some music and I noticed right away there was way too much treble. There was NO mid-range bass what so ever. It sounded nothing like the floor demo he played for me and my $150 blue tooth portable speaker I take camping had more mid-range bass! Isaac said I had to wait 2 weeks to turn the bass up? Right away I noticed along with the opinion of another QAS location something didn't sound right with the speakers. I came back to Quality Auto Sound on Colfax a few days later and expressed my concern for lack of mid-range bass to the Manager Tito. The manager told me that my $1423 setup with my 4 way amp was not designed for mid-range bass and wanted to sell me a sub. He turned me over to Isaac who sold me my stereo and he actually came out to my car to listen to it. Isaac appeared to be baffled as he began to play music on my stereo. He was modifying all the settings on the amp and head unit in an attempt to achieve some mid-range-bass. Isaac was hard at work for this exactly 35 minutes. Isaac finally gave up and said to me word for word "The speakers sound too narrow, I don't like it and I'm going to replace them with another brand." Immediately after Isaac had worked on my speakers I heard an irritating humming/buzzing sound from the driver side speaker on the drive home. I dropped my car off the next day to get my speakers replaced as Isaac said he would. I picked it up 6.5 hours later only to notice that Quality Auto Sound didn't change out my speakers. Also my driver side speaker STILL made a humming/buzzing noise that sounds really cheap and itâs very annoying. Isaac called me the next day to see if I had any questions. I asked Isaac if he replaced my speakers and he said he did but with the exact same brand and model that were originally installed. This was a bald-faced lie as my speakers still made the humming/buzzing noise and still sounded very "narrow" as Isaac himself described them. I began to become very frustrated with their lack of customer service and asked Isaac "How many times do I need to drop my car off at your business before I can get what I played for !?" Isaac said that he couldn't replace my speakers with another brand as he said he would the day before. He asked me to bring my car back for a 3rd time, so that they could fix the humming/buzzing noise. Sorry but I have a life and a job, I can't drop my car off at Quality Auto Sound once a week so it can sit there and nothing get fixed! Why can't you do a quality job the first or even second time??? This is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. Quality Auto Sound is the Flea Market of the stereo install business. Also I have noticed a pattern with this repulsive company "Quality Auto Sound." They always want you to bring your car back "so they can fix it", and when you don't bring it back for the 3rd or 4th time they blame it on you as if it's your fault and that's why it never got fixed! I have a buddy with a $900 stereo installed by a very popular cheap super center chain with no sub that I'm very jealous of. I am disgusted by my the amount of money and time I have wasted at Quality Auto Sound ! Please do yourself a favor and do not give this extremely repugnant company your hard earned money. Very unprofessional and far...

Drove down from Vail on a snowy day to have a system installed. On the way down, my girl friend and I decided on also having a remote start put in. We pulled up to the shop around 1:30 pm. When we got there Johnny was very polite and answering all the questions. After telling him what I wanted done, he started showing me options to add onto the system. After adding about 4 different add-on's it raised the price about $500 or something crazy. We were told that he would have the installers, which I was told were the top installers in Colorado, stay late to finish the system. Johnny told us it would be 5 hours to do the remote start and about 2-3 to get the system installed. 7pm rolls around and he tells us the job was done. When telling us this one of the installers, I'm guessing the last one there, literally runs out the door to go home. After paying $1,350, way over priced, I walk out to my vehicle and take a look at it. the remote start worked wonderfully. I got in, listened to the system and it sounded good. shook Johnny's hand and thanked him and took off. When I pulled out, I got to the light and vrrrrmmmp, the sub shuts off. I flip around to go back and explain what happened. When I got there I told Johnny what happened. He opens the door to the install bay and the lights are off. he looks at me and tells me his installers have all left and there's nothing more he can do. I asked him if he could call the installer and have him come back and take a look at it. He told me that none of the installers would come back, let alone even answer his phone call. So I leave, furious as all hell. Talking to my girlfriend, we both were wondering why he was telling us that he would have his installers stay late and finish a job, when all they did was rush the whole job. We then continued our 2 hour drive back home with a system that didn't even work.
The next day, I look at the install in the light, where I can see everything. hahahahahaha, what a joke, what a joke I'll tell you. It was clear that whoever installed this was in a rush and did not have quality on his mind. There were screws hanging out of the dash from where he had to pull it apart, there were wires in-between the gauge cluster and trim, didn't run the usb cord at all. Last but not least, I called my previous installers from back home and told them what happened, they instructed me to look at the settings on the amp, too look at the ground wire, and look at the remote wire. When I got to the amp settings, they were all wrong. gain was all the way up, sensitivity was al the way up, and anything else you can think of was wrong. When I got to the ground wire, the guy screwed it into the paint covered 1/16th sheet metal. Even I know that you are suppose to buff the paint off before setting a ground, and at that, it should be connected to a bolt, such as the seat belt bolt.
Over-all it was a rushed job, there was poor quality and I left $1,300 dollars poorer, with a system that didn't even work properly, and a snowy drive home to Vail. Also I bought the app for the viper alarm start, and it doesn't even work. I hate calling people out, and calling names, but Johnny is a liar. Trying to tell me he has the number one installers in Colorado is a joke. Telling me that the Viper alarm start would take about 24 hours to work was a terrible lie. After calling Viper, I was told that it should work instantly. If your looking for something to just be "thrown in," this is the place. Very nice people, and poor quality. Really wish I would have take my car some where else and will not be recommending this place to anyone.
Sorry for the long post, just thought you should hear the...

About a year and a half ago, my 8 year old alarm stopped working well, so I brought my car into Quality Auto Sound and they installed a new Viper alarm with remote start + bypass module. I had to return 2 additional times for programming issues (they had forgotten the settings I requested and didn't account for the dome light dimming). All went well for about 9 months. Then, wires from near the gas pedal (under the dash) got loose and dropped in the way. I brought it back again and they tacked them up. At that time, some lights on the dash warning about various things would flicker, but they thought it was related to the loose wires.
I then had more times where the dash lights were warning of all sorts of things and again brought the car back - 2 additional times - especially when the speedometer stopped working properly. I even left the car with them for a whole day/overnight to "re-investigate" and check all the wiring. Nothing could be found so they told me to take it to the dealer.
I took it to the dealer when even more of the dash warning lights were on: the dealer unplugged the alarm power and everything worked again. The dealer said the wiring from the alarm was not done well and it was interfering with the cars instrumentation.
After paying the alarm install fee from Quality Auto Sound + bypass module, and then the dealer diagnostic fee, this was getting to be quite expensive.
I then brought my car to a new alarm installer who showed me the poor wiring, and removed the entire system as it was not installed properly.
I then called Quality Auto Sound and explained that I had completed everything they asked of me, and had the alarm in the box and would like to return it. I followed the appropriate steps. I then was told to speak to Mino, the regional manager. I explained the situation. He said "he would have done the same thing" and then in the same breath told me that I didn't give them "an opportunity" to fix the problem in the next. I explained how many times I had been back, and that I gave them the benefit of the doubt every time. I asked for my money back in exchange for returning the alarm. I even offered to take less than full back as I realize they had to cover some of their labor charges. He told me he'd call me back by day's end. That was over a week ago.
** STAY AWAY: They seem nice enough in the store, but when it comes time to stand behind their installation, warranties, etc they don't deliver, and don't seem to have the installer knowledge needed to fix the problem. The installation was POOR per the dealer and second alarm installer (who has only 5 star reviews on Yelp). Even after 3 visits for the same issue, hours and days wasted, they couldn't resolve is. Regional manager did not keep his promise to call back. Not willing to work with their customers when things...
