As far as outside space goes it's a good spot to get a breath of fresh air and your heart rate up, if you are in the area. There is water to walk around which seems to be a luxury around here but I will add that I am not a local. There was a fallen officer memorial which I found interesting, I carve wood as a hobby not professionally, so I am genuinely interested in sculpture. The stone figure looks at his/her feet. A blue light between the feet shines up under the figures chin. The left side of the sculpture is smooth and shows roughed out detail of an arm and hand. The right side is unfinished but has drilled holes at angles into the surface which I took to represent bullet holes. There are stones with thought provoking text around the figure and stone benches to sit on. If you have time your close and you appreciate or are willing to feel the tension I would recommend grabbing a coffee and sitting there for twenty minutes. There was another memorial on the corner which looked to be bigger in scale but I was cold and didn't make it over. I will before we leave in the new year.

1 mile sidewalk walkway makes it easy to judge your exercise regimen with some gradual incline from hills.. Beautiful pond/lake that people fish from. Playground and restrooms for children. Covered eating areas for cook outs that can be reserved for parties, unsure if there is a fee. Many people use the park to walk dogs, exercise and enjoy nature. Apparently dogs are not allowed but no one follows that rule. Memorial statues as well for fallen officers, very moving. Love the trees in Greeley!

Gorgeous park with big lake and nice trail around lake. Many red winged black birds, some geese, I saw a big white bird on the lake with a huge yellow beak and a hawk in a tree. The playground equipment for children to play is very nice and the covered picnic tables are very nice. They even have barbecue grills beside pavilions and two basketball courts. Restrooms have a sign that says they open 05/02/2022.

For Greeley parks, this sets a high bar! 1.5 mile paved loop around the park! You'll see families on bikes, joggers, dog walkers, etc.

Bittersweet is a great, safe place to get some exercise and not worry about crossing any busy intersections. It features a basketball court, playground, and a picnic area. It's nestled against a quiet neighborhood on the west side which can extend your jogging route and still stay safe.

Unfortunately, Greeley does not allow dogs inside the park, but can use the path the surrounds the park. I still gave it a 5-star because Greeley doesn't allow dogs in any public parks. Compared to Greeley's other parks, Bittersweet is a 5-star. Compared to other communities that allow dogs in parks, I'm sure users would...

This is a great place to walk your pups! There's enough sidewalk around the whole thing that I can get about 45 minutes of a walk for my big dog, that time includes lots of stopping for smells. I will say though that when it's dark out, the lights on the west side of the park make for a dangerous situation for a lone female, they are bright but below eye level, which makes it impossible to see if anyone is approaching you. So, just avoid after dark, otherwise it's good for walking, running, covered picnic areas, playgrounds, basketball courts--something...
