As far as outside space goes it's a good spot to get a breath of fresh air and your heart rate up, if you are in the area.
There is water to walk around which seems to be a luxury around here but I will add that I am not a local.
There was a fallen officer memorial which I found interesting, I carve wood as a hobby not professionally, so I am genuinely interested in sculpture. The stone figure looks at his/her feet. A blue light between the feet shines up under the figures chin. The left side of the sculpture is smooth and shows roughed out detail of an arm and hand. The right side is unfinished but has drilled holes at angles into the surface which I took to represent bullet holes. There are stones with thought provoking text around the figure and stone benches to sit on. If you have time your close and you appreciate or are willing to feel the tension I would recommend grabbing a coffee and sitting there for twenty minutes.

Bittersweet is a great, safe place to get some exercise and not worry about crossing any busy intersections. It features a basketball court, playground, and a picnic area. It's nestled against a quiet neighborhood on the west side which can extend your jogging route and still stay safe.

Compared to Greeley's other parks, Bittersweet is a 5-star. Compared to other communities that allow dogs in parks, I'm sure users would...
Read moreThis is a great place to walk your pups! There's enough sidewalk around the whole thing that I can get about 45 minutes of a walk for my big dog, that time includes lots of stopping for smells. I will say though that when it's dark out, the lights on the west side of the park make for a dangerous situation for a lone female, they are bright but below eye level, which makes it impossible to see if anyone is approaching you. So, just avoid after dark, otherwise it's good for walking, running, covered picnic areas, playgrounds, basketball courts--something...
