The fair was good, the same as every year I've ever been there. I did not see anything new or extra special. I do want to point out 1 thing. Everyone talks about how expensive everything is, I agree completely agree! But to put it in perspective, McDonald's, Arby's etc sandwiches are roughly $8 and up. I paid $10 each for sandwiches at the fair. So it's really not that much higher than fast food🤷🏻♀️ So when you think of it that way at least sandwiches don't cost too much more, even though most other things are outrageously priced! Also I did have an absolutely horrible experience when I got there to park at Rising Park but I don't blame the fairgrounds for that. I'll do a separate review for Rising Park. Read moreMost over priced fair I've been to!! After going to the Ohio State Fair and Pickaway County fair the Fairfield County fair was a joke! They charge for parking $10, charge $7 a person 10 and older, then the rides of course an additional $15 a person. That's not to mention the $5 charge to sit and watch the derby. The rides are always smashed together in one corner of the fairgrounds causing mayhem with lines and overall traffic of people. Each line was over 30 mins long all merging together because the rides are too closely set up to one another. They do have a free day I guess that is the only day worth going...

And groups of about 20 to 25 natives participating in the dances. The MC was great, informed everyone of the Native American fight to retain their culture. Also explained the different Native Tribes and their dress customs. I would have brought a lunch with me, the line for the one vendor was two long and we even got there early, an hour before Grand entry. I'd say it's a great way to celebrate the Native American culture, I'm very glad the few that hold this event still do so....
