Had to make a 2nd account to leave a 2nd review for my return visit. I can assure you the first visit wasn't a fluke. Meeting Tommy a second time. I came in with my son this time who I briefly told Tommy about while I was in the store the first time and in the brief time I talked to him about my son the first time he remembered his name and the reason I was in the store in the first place. He told us to hold on a second and came back with the pokemon card with my son's name on it and gave it to him. No strings attached literally nothing and gave it to him with a fist bump...I cannot explain to you the joy my son's eyes had when he read the card and realized it was his name too. Im writing this as one proud father who just stepped back into a time capsule of when he was a kid who walked into a card store for the first time and the nostalgia of the card packs on the walls. The TV playing sports, people discussing cards, sports, misc packs. Just the general vibe...even just for a second I was 10 again looking at cards...Tommy has made us a customer for life and honestly a friend for life. I look forward to coming in weekly and saying hello, picking through some single cards, maybe picking up some packs and just chatting. Even if its for the thrill of kiddo being able to trade and keep the hobby alive. But to also transport back to being a kid again. If you're looking for packs, single cards or just some place to chat about cards, sports, this place is hands down the place to go for reasonably priced individual cards and honestly reasonably priced packs and booster bundles...ask for Tommy cause in my opinion he will always do...
Read moreI arrived there August 29 about 30 mins to close. I was welcomed by a younger salesman who was knowledgeable and ready to help find what I needed. I picked up various toploaders, sleeves and a box for my collection. The salesman also sold me a pack of cards that were reduced in price. When I got home I was pleasantly surprised to get an autograph out of the pack the he had suggested to me. To my displeasure, a dozen of the 55pt toploaders were unusable due to either being too curved to safely slide my cards in or the toploaders had dried adhesive stuck on the inside and outside. My other purchases did not have any damage at all. I contacted the manufacturer, but have not heard anything back. I also don't expect a refund since I was never given a receipt. I would give the salesman 5 stars. I wouldn't purchase the 55pt toploaders ever again. If anyone knows where they are sold in the Milwaukee area, write a message.
Update: I called the store and Wally said I could get them exchanged. The same salesman from yesterday was there, looked at the damaged items, and replaced them for free of charge. I really appreciate all...
Read moreStopped in for the first time ever and I can promise you will be the first of many. I met Tommy and we discussed the Pokémon hobby which if you have kids.. you know you know...anyways I have a 7 year old who has become obsessed. We discussed the hobby and how its difficult to find cards and pricing and this guy talked me through different packs. Im looking for the cards with my son's name on them and he guided me on the packs that may have them in it. Absolute rock star. Im totally going to be bringing in my son to meet Tommy. After buying some cards and packs, when leaving Tommy gave me a tin with a coin in it for my kid and asked me to bring him with his binder in next time to do a trade. This may be a sports card store from the outside. But on the inside. It has a little bit for everyone...made me a customer for life...I look forward to seeing My Son's eyes light up the next time and every other...
