I’ll start off by saying we are not Karen’s and we very seldom complain about anywhere. It’s pretty easy to just visit a restaurant, not like it, and never go back. I would never intentionally tarnish a restaurants reputation, but I feel that corporate needs to be made aware of this. The positives: Friendly, HARDWORKING staff. I cannot emphasize this enough. They were obviously understaffed and everyone there was stretched very thin. The way that the hostess was being treated by the customers (as many were furious for having to wait so long) was disheartening. Much of it had to do with the clientele, which red lobster cannot control. Many customers were experiencing the same problem that we did, but many decided to take it out on the hostess instead of just walking out. We joined the waitlist online, as did many other customers. The app told us an hour wait so we arrived exactly one hour after we joined. We joined at about 6:00pm and we showed up at 7:00pm expecting to walk in and be seated within 5 minutes. We were wrong. Upon arrival, the hostess told us they were running behind and that we would have to wait an additional 45 minutes (which turned into another hour). When we asked why it was taking so long the hostess told us that people keep ordering the endless shrimp and they keep eating and eating and eating! We found this funny but many other people did not. They should not be offering this promotion if the cooks cannot keep up with this and if there isn’t enough waitstaff. I truly feel bad for the workers that WERE there, as they feel the wrath of the angry customers that are mad when service is slow, wait times are long, etc. so the workers that are there are being punished for the ones that are not there. The restaurant was at 30% capacity at best and service was still pretty slow. But, again, the people that were there were running around like chickens with their heads cut off, so I cannot blame them. The general manager needs to do a better job of hiring. If corporate is not letting them hire more people, then that is ridiculous. For how much they charge they should have a surplus of workers… something is fishy here. The food was good, (not the best I’ve ever had but it could be something to do with the fact that I filled up on cheddar bay biscuits before the food came out, lol. It would have been nice to offer biscuits to those who were patiently waiting for a table, but maybe I am asking for too much. Our family of 3 usually goes to Red Lobster at least twice a year (for birthdays) if not more during specials. I can tell you that unless something drastically changes we will not be back. It is a sad testament to the times that you could order door dash and receive your food quicker than going to the restaurant. If this is what they are trying to do, to get people frustrated so they just order takeout, it is sad. We ordered takeout from many restaurants during COVID (when that was our only option) and were disappointed every single time. The portions were always smaller and food was cold by the time it got to you. They think that if people order takeout there will be less backlash with the food isn’t good because you’ve already paid for it and tipped the driver and there’s no way to get it back. Unfortunately Red Lobster has been added to our list of restaurants to never frequent. You have to wonder why they have trouble getting people to work there when many other restaurants (cheaper restaurants too) have no issues. We were hoping for a relaxing family evening but instead it was stressful and we were actually in a worse mood leaving than we arrived. That was a quick...
Read moreI have been going to red lobster for four decades, and yesterday was our worst experience ever! Walked in the door was told we would have about a 50 minute wait, which my mom wanted to wait! So we went to the bar to wait, at the bar waiting 10 mins with no service. I finally went and asked somebody if there was a bartender working, they assured me there was, within about 4 to 5 minutes later the person appeared. And then we were called to be seated! We got are drinks and went to sit! We sat there about 15-20 minutes before our waitress even acknowledge us! As we waited. I was going back-and-forth to the bar to get our own drinks because our waitress seemed to be MIA! When are waitress finally did come and take our food order, I ordered my meal and a Side salad which never came. So after 15 -20 mins of waiting for it. I flagged the waitress down to have her cancel the salad since she never brought it, and our food was about to come out. Literally, two minutes later, our food did come out, by one of the Managers. I did let him know the situation, and he kinda shrugged it off like it wasn’t the first time somebody has told him this and brushed it under the rug! I did ask for a different side since my salad never came! Then Noticed, as my food is getting cold that we have no silverware! So the waitress that brought out my side, I had asked her for silverware and for Crab crackers and I felt bad for bothering her since she was doing a favor for the manager! So then then the manager had brought out some Silverware and these Plastic crab thing to get the crab out and I could not get the crab out, I asked for something to crack them with because the snow crab shell is hard in some areas! They told me people take them home so they don’t have them anymore! Then he continue to tell me that no one but myself has had issues with the plastic ones! Which I find that very hard to believe they just don’t eat all their food and don’t say anything and don’t come back! He also seemed full of excuses! I’m a paying customer, that has nothing to do with me, I don’t steal them and I don’t take them home! But I am paying Full price for something I cannot fully eat! Almost said there don’t sell crab legs if you don’t have proper utensils to eat them correctly! But I didn’t! I kept my peace! I’m paying $40 for my meal and I can’t even enjoy all of my food! At this point, I’ve had enough and I wanna go home. I order piece of cheesecake to go! And when the one managers returns to our tables he apologize for the inconvenience, but they have NO TO GO containers AT ALL! Which, I could not understand since they have pickups and deliveries on going, out of this location! They probably had at least 50 or 60 people sitting in the dining area! Here I sit disgusted, upset with my Garlic buttery shrimp that I basically cannot take home at this point because they have nothing for me to put it in! We spent $50 at the bar and $100 on food and we had the worst service ever! Sorry Red lobster, we have stayed faithful throughout the years! You have been an icon in our lives, but we will not be returning! This happened at their Greenfield Wisconsin Location on 2-25-24.. Also.. when I had went to the bathroom I walked in to the smell of crap, which wasn’t a big deal sometimes rich food like this don’t agree with everyone but we still eat it.. but the one toilet had poop going down the front of it and all over the floor and u could tell it’s been sitting like that for a while! My mom didn’t want to go to the bathroom after I reported that back to her and she had 3 drinks and held it until...
Read moreI was here a few days ago (12/26/23 )let me start off by saying the host in the server were the only good things about this restaurant. My biscuits were ice cold !!!! And There was a mop just laying in the middle of the floor someone could definitely injure themselves with that. Plus that’s a sanitary issue!! The bartender was just on the phone seems like her whole shift which it was crazy busy so that should not have offcured . Second I asked for the sauce that comes on top of the REGULAR LOBSTER . My server did not know what I meant so when she asked the manager they told her something else and charged me 6.99 when I complained about this to my server, she had apologized and let me know that she was new, which I completely understand and I’ve worked at the service industry for 23 years of my life mistakes happen, but the next thing that happened is crazy … I asked to speak to the manager about 20 minutes later a tall man comes by the table and happens to take a seat at our booth.. says he’s the manager . He proceeds to say that the server does not know what she is talking about and that it was “100% the servers fault” for the 23 years that I have worked in the service industry. I’ve never seen such a unprofessional person let alone manager to down talk your employees! From my perspective, she was doing such a great job her whole section was filled , party tables and all . When she heard this (she was standing right on the side ..) she did what any other person would do if they heard their manager or coworker speaking of them in such negative terms.. she went to another coworker. she was obviously upset you could see it all over her face . As far as the sitting down at my table part, that’s already unprofessional ! I DONT KNOW YOU!!!! but that..? That’s low. I don’t know this girl from a can of paint , but what I can say is in this economy in this generation, it is very hard to keep positive, hardworking people in any job. Red lobster is very lucky to have the staff that they do . I hope they are not all taken for granted!!! NEXT He says he’s going to take my meal off of the bill which he never does!!! I told my server it’s fine. But she really wanted me to have a good experience so for the third time she asks him to take something off which he has said to my face that he would. He finally takes some thing off! Thank god now I can leave .. as I’m passing the bar to walk out I hear (THE SAME MANAGER THAT WAS JUST TALKING TO ME SITTING AT MY BOOTH )say under his breath “those people always want free things” THOSE PEOPLE?! 0/10 will never be back . Fix the poorly trained racist manager !!!! Are used to come here once a month and would spend a lot of money here will...
