Great Lakes Ace — Local services in Greenfield

I really like this store and I shop here frequently. Great staff and variety of items. However, I have attempted to use the coupons on the app and each time it is a fiasco. I went in on a Friday and attempted to buy a few items and use a $15 coupon off a $75 purchase. My total was just over $100 and the coupon was not taken. A new hire was helping me and he asked help from a manager which was understandable. The manager first said the coupon was out of date. It was good until the end of the month. Then he claimed it was due to an item being on sale. Okay, so I told him to take the on sale item off. Guess what, still didn’t work. This was my favorite part when the manager said the coupon went through this time, but my total was still the same. At this point I walked out. I went home and put the same items in my cart on the app and it worked magically. My advice do not waste your time trying to use coupons in store, especially if they are on the app. It almost feels like they want you to give up and purchase the items at full price. Face it today any money you can safe is a win. Hopefully, this is not a wide spread problem because I would like to see this store stay in business, but lately when I go in there are not a lot of people shopping. Went to Ace to get keys made. They showed me to the household department and I was greeted very nicely by the gentleman who would make my keys. He asked what kind of keys I needed and then went to work and quickly mafe my keys. This store was very clean and stocked well. I did not have to fight my way down the aisles. The cashier was very knowledgeable and friendly. They rang my purchase up and took my money and smiled all the while. As they gave me my change I was invited back anytime. Plenty of employees that knew exactly where things were located in the store, starting with the associate at the register by the front door. I had 3 other associated approach me and offer assistance.

Greatly appreciate the help since I was in a new store and needed some simple items quickly.
