Rent-A-Center — Local services in Greenfield

So my wife and I are behind a payment or two and we were supposed to make a payment today. We had our bank information stolen early this morning and they stole literally everything from our account. In fact, our account is now hundreds of dollars in the negative. I explained the situation to a store representative and the manager and explained I will come in and make a full payment in person when I get paid next and the manager wasn’t having it. They instead threatened me with legal action if we weren’t available for delivery within 24 hours. He explained that it’s in the policy that they could take us to court if we don’t make our first 10 payments. DO NOT SHOP AT RENT A CENTER. You will be threatened with legal action. And I can’t believe they would be that stupid to go to court over...

Not sure if the manager is just terrible at his job or this location is incredibly unorganized or what but I was supposed to be getting a couch delivered today between 1-3pm. 3pm rolls by and she calls them to see what's going on. They tell her they had to go-to another RAC location to get the couch. Ok cool. 5pm rolls around. My wife was home all day awaiting the couch while I went to work. Couch never arrived. She contacted the store who tried to come up with an absolutely BS excuse of them supposedly coming by, knocking, no one answered and then leaving a note on the door. None of which is true. She was home and awake all day. Nobody knocked on our door. No note was left. Incredibly unprofessional....

I have always tried to be a long time customer to this location I have paid off 2 or 3 agreements to the date, that being said I have two payments left on my television and just opened an agreement for a laptop, I have recently been having some money troubles and I needed an extension or payment relief something I offered to pay a double payment on both agreements next time I got paid and the "manager" that's at this location plainly says "if you cant make the payment by Friday we will have to come acquire the merchandise". Needless to say you all have lost my business and a long time customer. I am a store manger myself in retail and you don't treat people this way this speaks to the ethics of...
