Gents Barber Shop — Local services in Greenfield

I’ve been to Gents several times. First off let me tell you that, I know how I like my hair cut and even directed their new barber the time before last on how to cut it. He did a pretty decent job for being new. But yesterday, we entered the shop and no one came out, there was hair all over the floor and the there were no clients in. We stood there for about 10 minutes. I even went outside and called with no answer and came back in. At that point, I should’ve left but the next day was picture day and i was in a bind. I called out “hello” and someone said “be right out”. Another 5 minutes passed and he apologized.

I took my child in and he got in with Eric who did a good job. I told Eric I would wait on him. The owner came out and I told him I was waiting. He kept saying “no I’ve got you.” So I reluctantly sat in his chair. I showed him a picture of my haircut that I normally get. Mind you, this is a picture of me with MY haircut. Not one from a book. I spent the whole time facing away from the mirror and couldn’t see what was being done to my hair. Also, he turned on a tv show that was not for an 8 year old to watch then conversation proceeded to talk about laws changing in another state that had to do with how sex offenders have to register. Mind you, my 8 year old is right there. That’s completely unprofessional. Know your audience!

Then, I turn around and he shows me my cut. Let me tell you, if he spent more time listening to his clientele and less time watching TV. He may produce a decent cut. But my cut was nothing like my picture. The fade if you even want to call it that is terrible. Pay attention to your clients needs and wants.

I’ll never step foot in there again and will be sure to sway others in...

SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT GET RIPPED OFF HERE! I've visited Gents a few times in the past as I've had a hard time finding somewhere to get my haircut in town that was consistent. With that being said my haircut I got from them today is the last one I will be getting from Gents. I always do my best to describe how I want my haircut and even have photos for reference and none of what I asked for was done. After getting home I had found out how bad they had really messed me up. My bangs are uneven with one side going so far back that it looks like I am balding. The back of my neck is not lined up at all it looks like they messed up and squared it up and cut to much off the sides to match my neck. I would post photos of my cut on here but honestly it’s way too embarrassing to post online. I had called the store to let them know and after talking to the owner I was told they were unsure if they could give me a refund and still waiting to find out if i can get my money back four...

For me to come on this page and post 5 stars and say something like "awesome place" does not give these guys and gals justice for there craft, for instance im sure you seen a bugs bunny cartoon where a barber is cutting hair and hair flies in the air cause the guy is cutting so fast, well that might be a cartoon but you can actually see this in real life if you go get your hair cut here. Not kidding, it's like when you walk into this place you walk into a space portal and simple things like gravity does not exist! I kid you notice came in for a haircuts down and Buck said how do you want your hair cut, I said "I don't know ow, I have a idea....." cut me off in mid sentence and said "I got you, fam" He cut my hair the exact way I was thinking it, I said how did you know? He replied "I can read your mind...." in which I told him I was thinking of a bumper between 1 and 1million and he guessed it....7, yes 7 first time...it was nuts! Come here...
