KFC — Restaurant in Greenfield

Today is the last time they get my business. It seems the entire staff has turned over twice in the past year or so, and this store has suffered for it. The last several times I have eaten here it's been dirty, slow and nonchalant service. They always seem to be training a new employee who is no longer there on my next visits lol The buffet is almost never fully stocked and the last time I had it they forgot to put water under the metal buffet trays so they all overheated, burning the food. Today they couldn't get my drive through order right, didn't give me a receipt and wouldn't answer the phone when I tried to call to complain, even though the place was dead. Next time I want KFC I will drive to Anderson or New Castle, both are far superior in every way.

I should have known better, but I broke down a few times over the years and tried them again...different staff, different year, same result lol. What's the old saying, fool me once, shame on you...fool me twice shame on me. But today chaps my backside like no other.

Put in an online order due to "online only" specials, set the order for 45 minutes later thinking they couldn't possibly mess it up only to have to wait an additional half hour past my scheduled pickup time because they "ran out of tenders", which ironically was the only thing that ended up fresh when I got home. The nuggets were (c)old, the sammich was (c)old, the original recipe bucket was (c)old, fries and mashed taters (c)old, biscuit MIA, sauces and condiments MIA, no plasticware, told no physical receipt when ordering online. They were great at making excuses and apologies, but short on providing anything close to a decent meal in a timely fashion for the 50 bucks they fleeced me for, much less going any kind of extra mile to try and make it up to me.

Apparently in this new world we live in prayer hands and sorry makes up for poor service and quality, Manager had me boiling by the time they got my food to me, and seemed to get a kick out of it. I put in a complaint with corporate, who knows...

I wish Shelbyville had a buffet like this location does. I have eaten here many times, and unless getting carry out or not being hungry, I see no reason to not get the buffet for I think $8.99

The buffet has friend chicken, but breasts are a rare site and usually have to be requested, then an employee will put some out for me pretty quickly. The salad bar area is okay, just your basic items. They have a nice hot dessert such as raspberry or apple crumb pie. The items all look very tasty, but looks are deceiving, haha.

I like the chicken, normal, extra crispy, and grilled are all 3 available. The mashed potatoes and brown gravy, maybe a veggie or a biscuit, and the rest of the hot food just kind of looks good, but doesn't taste so good, haha. But hey, I can get filled up on lots of chicken and taters, so I am a happy camper!

The buffet runs most of the day from about 11am to about 8pm 7 days a week, I think. The staff is friendly and helpful when I need something. The tables and floor are usually clean, and everyone seems to keep fairly busy.

For the price and the chicken and mashed potatoes alone I will recommend this location. And if you want other items, order from their menu. The pot pies are made with all white meat and...

What can you say about KFC except that they are probably one of the highest priced chicken places around. It really sucks to go into a drive-through fast food place and be told that there is a 20 minute wait on chicken when they are not even scheduled to close for another 2 hours. Need to be better prepared to take care of the customer until closing. We also ordered 5 famous bowls and it seems like most of the bowl was nothing but mashed potatoes. Little bit of chicken and they used to put more corn and gravy anime but they don't do that anymore. Ordered separate popcorn chickens so we could add to the bowl since they don't put that my chin and those were all dried out and hard. Ordered potato wedges and those were all dried out and hard as well. I guess in the end we are just idiots because we keep going back.
