My partner and I have been to many Tahe 5 Locations that have been fine and this one was well rated. Sadly this far our experience has been poor and unprofessional. We will see if this changes.
My partner came in for an oil change. There where 2 people working but one was training the other. We come to oil change places for 2 reasons, 1 it is faster and 2 there is the expectation that things will be done correctly.
Red flag number 1 was the oil change took 2 hours. My partner is very respectful and understood that this person was in training so she moved on. She was given a $15 off coupon for her wait. We have both worked service jobs and understood that non management can only offer so much. It is worth noting this was a Friday some one was being trained and neither the GM or Assistant Manager was working.
Red flag 2. They did not reset the sensor saying we needed an oil change. Small but annoying if it was just those things we would not be here.
Sunday comes and we have chores to do and places to be but we hear a strange noise as we pull out of our gravel drive. Then we hear a dragging. Apparently when under our car they detached and did not properly reattach our 2 skid plate panels. The first person we talked to was the person who did the oil change. He said to take it off and bring it in Monday because they close early on Sunday. We don't have Jack's at the moment and our car is to low for our tools to take them off and his response was we did not need them anyways. Well I do not care if they are necessary they are a part of our car we have only owned this car for 6 months and we do not want to mess it up. Then he said he will offer us a $15 coupon. It is a 22 mile each way drive and we can not do what we needed to do that day. But I do understand that he does not have the authority to do anything more. We called back to talk to a manager and the person who answered this time was more respectful seemed to be pretty on the ball and understanding of the issue. But this person was not a manager. Remember they have 2 managers and again none there that day. But he assured me his manager would call with in the hour...... His manager never called.
Now it is Monday I have things I need to do from Sunday and more things because it is Monday. I call again and again there is no Manager. I ask them to have the manager call me and he said he will and it has been hours with still no response. Not sure why they have 2 managers if not to cover the shifts but they must enjoy working together.
I was hoping they would reach out in a timely manner like a reasonable company and we could work this out because they did damage my car.
So far my experience from this take 5 has been unprofessional and I would recommend going else where.
I will update this one way or another based off the interaction or lack there of.
Update
They came out and fixed my skid plate and gave us a voucher for half off our...
Read moreThis company is all around shady and disrespectful in many ways. First of all, if you want anything done to your car, I suggest going to the auto parts store since everything is priced too high due to inflation already! Take 5 up charges every customer that comes through. They will even sell you something your car does not need yet! They do not care about their employees one bit. One time, coming through for an oil change I overheard 1-2 employees talking about how tired they are because they were on day 9 of work straight and only had 2 days with someone else with them at the shop. These men were TIRED. I just came in recently and said employee(s) are no longer there. I am sure management just got tired of accommodating the people they are suppose to care about. Management will leave their employees there alone on some of the busiest days, many days throughout the week, then they wonder why their employees aren't trying as hard as they were. This company is a joke and all they care about is money. Very inexperienced employees. Very 2-faced and childish management. If I could rate 0...
Read moreI gave this a four overall because there was only one young man working on my car that needed an oil change. He was very very good and in fact deserves a HUGE raise as he took very good care of what I needed. Very knowledgeable and helpful. I felt sort of bad for him that his other co worker was outside asleep in his car when I drove up at first. This young man tried to go wake him up several times to no avail and by the time I left he decided smoking pot was much more preferable sitting in his car than helping his poor co worker out who had two customers come up after I was already sitting there. Absolutely unbelievable! Lucky for this young man I wasnât in too much of a hurry or I would have been really upset. But I donât feel like any of what happened was this young manâs fault and that other guy whoever he is should be fired for showing up an hour late just to be sleeping in his car and then smoke pot to boot. Hope he wasnât on the damn clock. So your other worker deserves a raise and a promotion for what he has to put up with. Just felt sorry for...
