We have been going to Golden since they first opened. Our theater of choice ever since. We went Wed to a 12:45pm showing and I was surprised there were quite a few ppl there. 1 poor guy behind the counter. 1st. He told us they no longer use the refillable buckets, they now use a bag, but it’s the same amount. We got the bag and poured it into the bucket and it was just over half full. I returned and asked could he fill it because we were told 5 dollars bucket refills for the year when we purchased the bucket. He hesitantly took the bucket and filled it while looking around like we were commiting a felony. 2.We ordered the pretzel bites for the 2nd time. They were so good the first time. Approximately 7 salty nuggets with a side of cheese. This time? There were literally 3 small pieces of torn up pretzel laying in a big box with no salt. The pieces look like they were torn by hand. Didn’t even look like pretzel bread, just dried up bread with no salt. Maybe 2 inches in size. Srsly, 3 pieces of torn up bread, we paid almost 8 dollars for that. It’s a treat for us to go to the movies with everything so expensive. Your customers deserve better than that. To say this place is going downhill is an understatement. So disappointing when a place starts out with a bang then flops shortly thereafter. Back to the Regal...
Read moreI've been coming along from time to time and I'll have to say, better personal experience than Red's. Clean seats, good popcorn, and a pretty humble staff. I remember coming here back when it was just Brassfield Cinemark, and from what I experienced back then, Golden Ticket is just a straight up upgraded experience from that. The workers actually care about their job, and outside of a busy Saturday I'm not waiting 30 minutes to get inside a theater. (I personally love coming at night on Tuesdays. Easily the best bang for my buck). I can tell the staff like their job, including the cleaners, especially one named Jack I believe? Was honestly surprised to see even janitors enjoying this place, so that's a massive check.
My only complaint is that there isn't any music or anything in the lobby so it felt a bit industrial with all the dead air and hums of the machines. Could really add some spice to that, though it might just be a personal preference thing.
4.5 Stars, Rounded up to 5. My cousin and I liked this place enough to come back five times now, and definitely will be...
Read moreI did the upgraded theater. The last row needs to be raised up. I watched a subed movie and the row in front of me was blocking the subtitles a bit. I won't sit in that last row again. The seats are like any other theater with reclining seats nothing special there. The heated seats were a plus for that back row since the air drifts down the wall and makes it a bit cold. If you are cold natured I suggest you wear sleeves or bring a lite jacket or wear a hoodie maybe. Theater is very clean. Only negative was i had to wait a bit long to get my drink. They happen to be training a new hire and this was the first movie showing for that day so they had just opened up. Staff was polite. Oh I didn't see any collectable cups advertised only popcorn buckets. I was disappointed in that. This was my first time after their reopening from their rebuild. I wanted to get something to remember the...
