I purchased my washing machine a year ago. The day after I purchased it I needed service. It was making a banging sound whenever in the spin cycle and the inside was leaning over. They came to fix it a couple days later because it was the weekend. Well they said it was fixed. Now it still made the banging sound but it was not off track anymore. I figured since it was used it was just an issue I had to deal with. We would just be careful and not overload the washing machine other than that it washed fine. Just 2 days ago the noise was worse and it was off track again. Well I called for service and the same guy that came to fix it the last time was the tech today. The tech admitted that he misdiagnosed it the last time and that a shock kit should have been added. Well the machine is no longer under warranty and the cost would be 199.00 which is the same price I paid for the washer. I contacted the owner and asked for it to be covered since it was misdiagnosed. He told me no. Keep in mind he spoke with the technician who admitted this and he still refused to fix it free of charge. So I asked for a discount and he gave me a 24.00 discount. It went from 199.00 to 175.00. Wow such awful customer service. Shame on the owner for not honoring a mistake that was made by your technician. I decided not to give them my money and went to Loweâs instead. Purchase at your own risk, but do not expect the owner to be honest with the any repairs needed.
In response to the owner. I did not pay the diagnostic because the tech did not ask for it and he probably didnât ask because he knew you were wrong. You also did not ask for payment. To your statement that âonce again you apologizeâ you never apologized in the first place. You actually hung up on me. Stop making excuses for not being honest. I was happy to go to Loweâs and get a new washer. I paid more, but I refuse to give dishonest people my money or business. Lesson learned the cheap way is not always...
Read moreThis company offered to order a replacement circuit board for the knob of my Electrolux washing machine and to come to my house to install it so I took them up on it. I gave them the exact model number of my washer and PNC/part number of the part that I needed. The guy over the phone assured me that he had the correct part and that a repairman would be at my house in 2 or 3 days to make the repair.
Fast forward to the day of the repair and the repairman shows up with the wrong part. I called their office and asked how it was possible that they ordered the wrong part and they tried to blame me for their mistake. The repairman talked to his people over the phone and basically said "here is the part, they said that you have to keep it." They tried to stick me with a $177 part that I had no use for when it was their mistake in ordering the wrong part. Completely unacceptable.
I called up their number and informed them that they would be refunding me for the part because it was their mistake and they eventually agreed to take the part back and refund me. The man over the phone was extremely rude and asked "well, are you going to pay the $85 minimum charge?" for their mess up and when no work was done on my washer. I talked to the repairman and he said he had another customer 2 minutes down the road, so he barely had to go out of his way to get to my place.
The man over the phone informed me that he had found the right part and that it would cost me $250 and was on back order with the manufacturer. I told them no thanks and hung up the phone. I went online later and found the same part for $138 directly from Electrolux and was shocked when I saw how much they were trying to mark up the price.
Don't waste your time and don't work with these people. They have horrible customer service and apparently shaft their customers when there is a...
Read moreJust had the WORST experience with Banks Appliances. UNBELIEVABLY bad customer service. Will never use them again.
They claimed they weren't able to give us an exact service time, so my husband stayed at home all day, waiting on their call (they gave us a all when they were 10 minutes away). They fixed our washing machine, and ran it through a cycle to double check (which was good). But then the washing machine broke down again that same night.
When we called the next day, the rude man on the phone acted as if we were inconveniencing him by calling and asking to have another repair man sent to our home. He also hung up on my husband without providing any information about whether a repairman would be available that day. When I called back to clarify when they were coming, he cut me off, put me on hold, then told me, "Well, hopefully we could come today. I'm not sure." When I explained that I needed more than a 10-minute warning, he curtly asked, "How much time do you need??" I explained that I worked full-time, so at least an hour notice would be fine. He said fine, and hung up.
I called back to tell him to cancel the service call and that we were going in another direction, and he didn't ask why or apologize or appeared concerned at all. He just said, "Okay." I then explained to him how awful his customer service skills were.
Still in shock at how awful that whole...
