Full disclosure that I'm not a 'gym person' -- my typical activity is riding my bike, for hours, alone. I've been a member here for almost a year now. I joined to rehab a knee injury and to rapidly build back up my cardio so I could get back to the adventure cycling I love.
CFG is an excellent home for anyone looking to improve their fitness for any reason. You truly don't have to be already fit to fit in here, folks are friendly and you make friends quickly! The coaches are knowledgeable and approachable, and super-ready to work with you on any aspect of your physical health that you're looking to improve. And if you're somehow worried that, no matter what your own goals are, you're gonna come out of Crossfit looking all bulked up--Crossfit adapts to your fitness goals, and the coaches here work with you to achieve them. It's truly a place, and a philosophy of fitness, for all people and all types.

Read moreI joined CrossFit Greenville in May 2021. Over the last few years I’ve really struggled with my health and with that my commitment to exercising has been inconsistent. A few months ago I recommitted to exercising and overall healthy efforts. I was nervous to start again, feeling embarrassed about my fitness level.
The coaches have always welcomed me and encouraged me. They get to know you and your goals so they can best support you — things like do you need tough love and to be pushed to try a little more, or do you perform better when people don’t talk to you. They’re very knowledgeable about variations to exercises and explaining your options so you do movements safely and at your skill level.
When I got out of my own head and self-consciousness, I realized the people in class with me crossed generations, body types and skill levels. We’re all there to do something good for our bodies with good people around us.

Read moreThis gym is hands down THE BEST gym in the area. The programming is challenging and always scalable for all ability levels, the coaches are fantastic, and the community great. I use to dread working out and would use any excuse to put it off or get out of it. While attending Crossfit Greenville, I loved working out and looked forward to my hour at the gym every day. I actually feel sad on my rest days. Like many people, I found CrossFit really intimidating before I tried it.
