The Breakfast Bar — Restaurant in Greenville

Just left had a big order called Head asked if we would be able to be accommodated having sex minus my daughter who is an infant got there was placed outside under their extra seating the waitress we had was an older lady seem to have a lot going on that day so I will let that go however the service was very slow we weren’t able to get our drinksin a timely fashion that we need it usually I would expect service even in a busy restaurant to fill my drinks at least twice when you come around and see that there are take long was texting the whole time when taking my order and taking my payment walked outside seem to forget our order when the food came it was hot however my pork chop was burnt there was missing items of food when I had gotten my items the eggs seem to be undercooked and the grits were OK there was no salt and pepper on the table and no extra plates or napkins on the table they did come out with my silverware and napkins after so none of my food came out at the same time we had children that were waiting to eat and they bought the big adult plates out first no sugar cream for the coffee so my husband‘s coffee my children were antsy because they had not had a chance to eat I was not offered any type of discount for for military or any type of service also no manager came by and asked how the service was or anything I was very disappointed to find out that the ratings were correct I had hoped for something so much more and had not seen it I won’t even go into further detail about the outside part of the restaurant because some people can only do what they can do that’s understandable however the complete disregard for the outside tables was a disgrace unfortunately my family and I will not be back preferably something changes for the next people I always want to see people do good especially small businesses but something has to give and they have to take more pride and quality in their food Especially because of the prices Hopefully this explains the complete this satisfaction that we had in certain areas I would like to also take the time and say that the gentleman who were busing tables Was doing an amazing job and got the tables that we needed cleaned off fast so we can be able to be transferred to the wider seating. They asked if I would like to be contacted I did express yes we will see what happens and hopefully they read this review and try and do better This was a Saturday afternoon at 12 and we are just leaving at two and majority of that...

I had to come in leave my own review because my cousin made a review and the restaurant decided to say it was the wrong location. I came back with proof to show that this is the right location. We originally tried this restaurant out due to the reviews and thought to give it a try, we actually drove in from Kinston, NC. Upon arrival the restaurant looked closed but I still went to the door. The door was open with just a waitress inside. She stated that they are open but not serving at the moment, she had been there since 6:30am. We arrived around 845am. She also stated the chef had a flat tire the reason they couldn’t serve. I asked her when did she think the chef would be in and she stated she didn’t know and that a second chef should be in at 9:00. The second chef eventually arrived and they took our order. We were a party of 9, I was the 2nd person to order my food. Long story short when the food finally arrived, some food was incorrect and 3 ppl in the party did not receive their food. The waitress now has to ring in our order. I eventually go inside to see what’s going on & Quinetta I believe is how you spell her name says that our orders were never received originally and when they were put in that they just came on the screen. She said sorry for the mess up and that we would receive a discount for the inconvenience. We now had to take our food to go as the other 6 in the party had finished their food. She gave a 10% discount that was only 1.72. I was in such shock! & still charged us for the large party 3.45 on the check. Never will return...

This was an unexpected find! I'd have to agree with many of the folks on here already, so let me tell you a little about my experience...

The Atmosphere Well, if it's your first time, you might be off out by the look of the front of the store. But let me assure, it's all good and there's no worries! You actually should, follow the signs to park around back where there is plenty of parking! Go in through the outside seating area. The young lady outside greeted us jovially with a smile and directed us indoors.

The outside is a nice little covered porch area with plenty of seating and views outside. The inside has a classic hole in the wall diner feel; but the good kind. It was packed with folks having a good time with their families. Me + 3 ate outside.

The Nosh I came for breakfast and breakfast did I indeed partake! I ended up getting an omelette with salmon cakes as my protein. It was pretty good! The savory salmon cakes and the velvety eggs with jalapeños and spinach made quite the impression in my mouth. The chicken and waffles were quite good and the waffles were crispy! The toast was nice and crunchy and buttery and thick -- oooh baby! Coffee was nice a strong. Overall, it was a solid breakfast!

The Service In a word: excellent. From the aforementioned jovial greeting to the host to the server, everyone was helpful and kind and made you feel welcome and relaxed without being up in your business too much! Perfect balance.
