I was there with a group of 4, including myself, this past Wednesday 9/25. We sat at the counter. Service started out well. The staff were attentive, food came in a timely manner, and was tasty and fresh. Where the night was derailed was as the evening was wrapping up. I made eye contact with two different staff, one a young thin blonde woman and the other a bearded kitchen staff male. The former twice. Both recognized and acknowledged my eye contact. Neither came over to see what we needed. Perhaps because they were not the primary staff serving us. Finally I had to ask a couple of times to the gentleman in a loud voice for the bill. He was in a sling. After the bill came, I could sense he was upset I raised my voice to get his attention. That is because normally when a waiter provides the bill, they wait nearby to take it quickly when they see you pulling out your card. Not him. I then had to ask again for someone to take the credit card. I suspect the man with the sling was acting in a passive aggressive manner by not quickly taking my credit card. Regardless, that was three different staff with extremely inattentive service. Unfortunately that matches the 1 star reviews I am reading on Google. Like some of the staff just cannot be bothered. While in the short term, the restaurant can get away with this behavior, as they are busy and have word of mouth as an it place in the area, it is my experience it will eventually catch up with the establishment. The level of inattention and lack of customer service was disappointing. I come to Greenville twice a month for business and bring customers and business colleagues on a regular basis. Thank you for reading. The only person that provided great service was the young brunette woman who took our order at the beginning of the night. She apologized for the delay when she took my card. And yes, the tip reflected the...
Read moreHONEST Detailed Review. My wife and I ate at Ford+Shep on a Thursday night - we were so excited to try this new place in Greenville, all the pictures looked amazing! When we arrived we were immediately seated; as they were not super busy. After waiting 15 minutes I walked up to the hostess and asked if we had a waiter/waitress - she apologized and said she was sending someone right over. After another 10 minutes of waiting someone finally came over and took our drink order. After receiving our drinks (they were good and the wine prices were very reasonable) we waited another 15 minutes and were finally asked for what we wanted to order from a second waiter. The food finally came out from a third waitress (after 3 other tables that were seated long after us, got their food). The presentation was awesome! Food was good but not AS good as its made out to be. We got the Possin and the Shrimp Fettchini. The Possin (Chicken) was good, but it was a whole chicken with all bones (personally not a fan) and the Fettchini was good but the Shrimp were overcooked. Overall the experience is a solid 3. We were a little surprised that we were not offered at-least a free bread ($5) appetizer for the LONG wait times - but oh well. I think next time we will stop by for a few cocktails and go to either DAP house, Plum Tree, or Ninos. Hopefully things will get better for you Ford + Shep or we just came on...
Read moreThe walk in and environment is super nice and well tucked away. The environment is super cozy and the interior design is neat. The waiter, Nikkia, was super friendly and an overall super positive waiter. The fried green tomatoes were super delicious, it was my favorite item that I had during my visit. We ordered the Peruvian shrimp and the tuna and melon. The Peruvian shrimp was pretty underwhelming overall. It was pretty acidic with a good amount of vinegar and lime and had only like 5 pieces of shrimp on it. The tuna melon was a bit of an odd combo. While the watermelon did sort of work with the kimchi, the watermelon did not blend well with the tuna. The tuna being warm and savory was too contrasting with the cold watermelon The restaurant does change their menu weekly, so it could just be that this wasn't a week I would've enjoyed, and also, the dishes we ordered weren't the main course. The entrees looked good. However, each item was above 35$, which isn't unreasonable, but for the average person is a bit much, so keep that in mind when planning but im sure itd be worthwhile. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Even if you have 1 bad experience with the food, I would still keep an open mind to what else they may have on a...
