RIP TO THE SOUL OF AJÍ!!! This place has severely gone downhill since the new owners took over. Used to come here all the time with friends but now I can NOT recommend going to anyone. The selection of snacks being halved is one thing. But to make the limited selection THIS inflated price wise is ridiculous! Who would pay over $3 for a cup of instant ramen you can get from Food Lion, Walmart, etc. for 50 cents? Not to mention the person who works on Saturdays IS ALWAYS DRUNK (taller gentleman with a beard and mustache combo). This is the second Saturday I’ve come in since the ownership change and seen him slurring his words, getting lost in thought, and reeking of alcohol on his breath. Today for example I tried to redeem a gift card I got back in June and he made things awkward by clearly not knowing the items I selected (and their prices) and talking with the other customers while ringing me up to the point I felt ignored. Why am I now being asked to tip when the employee did nothing but make me anxious? What was supposed to be a fun trip to Ajà today turned into a horrible experience, and I’m not sure if I’ll ever return. Something needs to be done soon, I feel bad for Miki because Ajà has been absolutely ruined under these new owners. There’s no longer professionalism where...

When Southern Seasons closed in Chapel Hill, I thought I would never love again. The European delights that I used to pilgrim towards were yanked from my dreams like a lusty rabbit looking at a carrot. Enter Aji.
Years later, my heart has begun to mend as delightful wine and a sweet couple have brought a much needed pop of culture to Greenville.
Miki and Kevin were both wonderful hosts tonight; knowledgeable about their servings and treats which made my wife and I ooh and ah (looking at you chocolates and biscuits).
The feel is modern and clean, cool and uptown and somehow relaxed at the same time. I plan to come work here in the day sometime (maybe to also get some bites of Made with Love baked goods - Aji is the only outlet for the treats!). The atmosphere begs for an audience and I think that’s exactly what it should receive with applause.
Come here for something different and delightful and likely decadent. Elevate your palate and have something around-the-worldly and make sure you say hello to Miki and...
Read moreEvery single time I go in there, it's an EXPERIENCE. I absolutely look forward to going to Greenville and trying new items! We don't eat pork anymore for religious reasons and it can be challenging to find gummy candy that doesn't have gelatin in it, but here I have SO MANY vegan options or beef gelatin. There are lots of candies and products that are from other countries that have less crap in them than the options in America. The woman that owns it (I can't remember her name) is so kind and helpful! I've had an item I got once that I didn't realize was expired and she replaced it and fixed it in store right away! I am sitting here eating some chocolate we got yesterday and I definitely want some more. Check them out if you're...
