We had such an amazing experience with African Safari. We used them to book our honeymoon to Tanzania where we did a 10 day Safari. We truly had no idea where to begin when planning and ran into some issue when we tried to book directly with a Safari company in Tanzania, so we found African Portfolio and we set up with our travel agent Susan who made the whole process a breeze. From the start Susan was great with communication and listening to exactly what we wanted for our trip, she was conscious of our budget and rearranged things several times to adjust with what dates worked best with our work schedule and what activities we wanted to do and how long we wished to stay in each location. She was great at ensuring we had all the information we needed to get our visas, get all needed vaccines and medications, get proper travel insurance and helped with information for booking our flights. She was great with communicating when payments were due and all payments were easy and secure (another issue we had prior when trying to book directly with a safari company in Tanzania). We received a package several weeks before with all travel documents printed and nicely placed in a small portfolio to bring on our trip. Fast forward to our arrival, we really did not have to worry about anything, when we arrived at the airport our transportation was arranged, each lodge we stayed at was more than accommodating and just as nice as they appeared online with very friendly staff, our safari guide was great as well as the company from which he was from and we felt safe and able to relax the entire time. It was such an amazing trip and was made possible by Susan and the team at African Portfolio. My husband and I recently returned from a 2 week trip in Tanzania that was put together by African Portfolio. It was hands down one of our best vacation. Victoria, our agent did an excellent job curating an itinerary that matched what we were looking for. It gave us a diverse safari experience in terms of topography, game viewing and experiences. The lodges/camps she placed us in were all beautiful with spectacular views, tasty food an 5 star service. Her attention to detail was superb allowing us to be well prepared and made for a smooth experience. I used the travel packet she prepared throughout the trip, a great reference not only for trip details but also what to tipping guide. We benefited from African Portfolios long experience on arranging safaris. For example Victoria put us in a lodge inside Ngorongo Crater that allowed us to get down to the crater within 10 mins and avoid the long line of vehicles coming into the main gate. We booked what was going to be a 2020 trip to South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Botswana through African Portfolio in late 2019. Our agent, Vanessa, was extremely helpful, responsive, and friendly. We had to reschedule our trip to 2021 due to the pandemic, and AP made rebooking as stress free as it could be. They answered all of our questions, worked to get us refunds on airfare, and to keep our costs close to what we'd originally booked for. Vanessa was extremely patient with our questions and concerns through all of this and was always available if we needed to chat.

We were able to travel in September of 2021 and had the absolute experience of a lifetime. AP's services far exceeded our expectations and included providing agents to assist us in the airport, surprises at our camps, and little notes along the way. Vanessa was also available across continents and time zones when we needed assistance with a question while were on our trip.
